Amid the alliance’s continued efforts to create a SWIFT alternative, the economic alliance has sought to create its very own BRICS payment system. It will play a major role in the alliance trade dealings. Specifically, allowing unilateral settlement to be done without the need for the US dollar.

The move is poised to be vital for the bloc and participating nations, and it appears there will be a lot of them. According to one Russian official, there are already 159 countries seeking to adopt the system currently. With a potential launch coming in October, it could have massive global market ramifications.

Countries Flock to BRICS Payment System as SWIFT Opposition Emerges
The past several years have seen the BRICS alliance committed to enhanced de-dollarization efforts. With the impact of Western sanctions on Russia, the move is a clear promotion of local currency and alternative settlement methods. Although many have been skeptical, there is no denying its popularity to this point.

According to Russia’s Central Bank Governor, Elvira Nabiullina, 159 countries are ready to adopt the BRICS payment system when it goes live. Indeed, these foreign participants are looking to explore an expansion to Russia’s System for Transmitting Financial Messages (SPFS) platform.

Nabiullina said the system “is an alternative to SWIFT.” Moreover, she added, “Similar infrastructure exists in some other countries. We are holding discussions on the interaction of such platforms, but here the interest and technical readiness of our partners are important.”

The payment system has become increasingly important for the alliance. The mechanism is a priority of the upcoming BRICS 2024 Summit, according to the head of Russia’s BRICS Presidency Council, Viktoria Panova.

“Active efforts are underway to create a financial payment mechanism that would make cooperation between BRICS countries easier, maintaining their sovereign trade and economic exchanges,” she said. “This issue tops the agenda because every member of the group sees it as important,” she added.

The system’s debut should come with immediate activity. Additionally, it could open the door to expanded trade dealings for the alliance. With a plethora of nations seeking membership, they could opt to embrace the system when it launches. At this point, there is a chance it is ready for October's summit.

I have studied abuse, extensively. I have also studied psychology to great extent.


One thing I learned, and almost immediately out of the gate in studying all of this.

We are all groomed to force our opinions on each other. To ridicule and judge those who hold a different opinion or view. 

Social media has made this a billion times worse.

Now we abuse for fun. With a keyboard.

Not to mention politics.

And religion.

As well as the things that go in homes, families and relationships.


Anytime we force our own views or opinions on any other human being, we are being abusive. 


Think about what it means to "force" opinions and views on others. It is very different from sharing opinions and views.

We have all been groomed to abuse one another.

Government Whistleblower Says There Was a Secret Pentagon Program to "Trap" UFOs.

A UFO whistleblower and ex-Pentagon official who claims that the government is hiding its knowledge of extraterrestrials is doubling down on his claims in a new memoir.

As the Daily Beast and other outlets report, whistleblower Luis Elizondo's new book, "Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for UFOs," contains in more detail the same kinds of contentions he has long put forth with the help of the New York Times and Blink-182's Tom DeLonge.



In an interview with the Daily Mail, Elizondo said he's finally been cleared by the Pentagon to tell the full truth about his claims, which include his assertion that he'd seen glowing green orbs in his house after he began leading a secretive Army office looking into what the government calls "unidentified anomalous phenomena" or UAPs.

As he said in his interview with the British tabloid, the ex-official was also privy to knowledge of "traps" the government set up to catch and capture UAPs.

"We had a plan to set up a real big nuclear footprint," Elizondo said, "something we knew would be irresistible for these UAP."

Once these unwitting ETs fell for the ruse, "the trap would be sprung," he continued.

Trapped In
As with claims made by other government whistleblowers and true believers, Elizondo's insistence on a widespread US government conspiracy to hide the truth about aliens from the American people seems to fall apart under scrutiny.

In a thread on r/UFOs where his Daily Mail interview was posted, for instance, an incredulous Redditor pointed out just how ridiculous the crux of that claim really is.

"Setting up honey pots for UFOs sounds like a terrible idea," the user commented. "Who knows what type of thing you could end up attracting?"

Indeed, if any members of an extraterrestrial race were sophisticated enough not only to travel untold lightyears to Earth but also to hide themselves from us, it seems almost humorous that our human attempts at deception would work.

As ever, we very much do want to believe — but in the case of Elizondo's new book, the only thing that seems provable is that he's on a book tour, with all the pressure to drive sales that process typically entails.

I personally don't believe it's extraterrestrial beings they are covering up. 

I believe it is inter-deminsional beings they have knowledge of, and are hiding it, because it would help to prove that there is a God; Or, at least something beyond this world and life.

I also believe these "inter-deminsional" are building some of these flying objects we've been hearing about, and it is that technology that was recovered and reversed engineered. 
 
I think that's what's been "covered up."

I've also heard some say that these orbs in the sky might be angels and or demons traveling around.

If so, then they're trying to "trap" one of these beings or objects.

Kinda reminds me of the movie "The Ghostbusters."

Scientists think they have found the source of the most promising ‘alien’ signal ever seen.

Scientists think they might have found an explanation for the “wow” signal that has long led to hopes it was contact from aliens.

In August, 1977, the Big Ear radio telescope at Ohio State University picked up a signal that has fascinated scientists ever since. The scientists who first spotted it wrote “Wow!” next to the signal on a printout, and it has been known by that name ever since.


The blast was long and very intense, but only at a specific frequency. The details of the source led many to believe that it could be an intentional signal from aliens, sent using artificial technology.

Scientists found that it appeared to have come from the constellation Sagittarius, but not exactly where. It was never spotted again, leaving scientists only to speculate on whether it was a signal from an extraterrestrial intelligence.

Now, however, researchers at the University of Puerto Rico say they have found a new explanation for the signal. It was not an alien message but instead a unique astrophysical event, they say.

What’s more, they have detected similar signals – though none as intense as that first one that led to the “wow” signal.

The researchers suggest that the signal was caused when a cold hydrogen cloud suddenly turned bright. That was probably because it was hit by emissions from. radiation source, such as a magnetar flare ofr a soft gamma repeater.

When that happened, the clouds suddenly turned bright. That would explain why it was seen for a short period and then never spotted again.


The researchers say that the new hypothesis not only explains the signal but represents an important warning for future potential detections of signs from aliens.

“Our study suggests that the Wow! Signal was likely the first recorded instance of maser-like emission of the hydrogen line,” said Abel Méndez, who led the work.

Scientists might now be able the find the exact origin of the signal, too, since they can look for objects within or behind those cold hydrogen clouds.

The research is based on observations from 2020 and has been published in an early version online. The scientists behind it are refining it with input from the scientific community and hope to publish it in a peer-reviewed journal, they said.

Nair believes that without a DEI agenda, the workforce of a nuclear security facility is at risk for becoming "insider threats," Nair said in an article from April 2023.

"By understanding DEI as a set of values critical to security, and therefore as an element of an effective nuclear security culture, stakeholders can explore how DEI can contribute to stronger security at nuclear facilities," she said. 

"Collectively, these principles (of DEI) can work to mitigate counterproductive work behavior and prevent disgruntled employees from becoming insider threats," she claimed. 


Nair explicitly says that bolstering DEI is a national security matter. "DEI principles and advancement must be considered crucial assets for strengthening nuclear security implementation," Nair added. 

Nair's DEI agenda envisions expanding America's deep secrets to people with foreign connections, claiming those individuals were discouraged from applying as an issue of race bias. 

She said, "U.S. government reports show that qualified applicants with foreign ties have been discouraged from applying to sensitive national security positions and faced barriers to obtaining a security clearance. This is in part due to preconceived confirmation biases held by investigators about certain racial or ethnic groups." 


"Considerable progress has been made in advancing DEI in the nuclear field, but the largest obstacle remains in ensuring that nuclear security practitioners understand how DEI can serve as a tool to strengthen nuclear security," she said in the article. "Greater focus on the intersections between nuclear security and DEI is essential." 

Regarding race bias, Nair believes that White staff at nuclear facilities don't have the ability to properly evaluate threats from people of the same racial group, notably radical White supremacists. 


"Diversifying the perspectives included in nuclear security decision-making can expand the definition of who or what constitutes a ‘threat’ for nuclear security," she said. "The notion of ‘threat’ and ‘security’ are defined by the dominant culture, which inherently sidelines how marginalized groups … perceive ‘threats.'"


Dominant culture is an academic concept about power which refers to how the U.S. has traditionally been shaped by White people. 

"An example of this is the threat posed by some White supremacist groups to nuclear facilities may go undetected if a White-majority workforce does not perceive these ideological leanings as indicators of a relevant nuclear security threat," she claimed. 


"Integrating DEI into nuclear security culture can help reimagine how each state’s nuclear security regime understands 'threat' to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the security risks facing a facility," she concluded. 


"Equity and inclusion… is essential for creating effective nuclear policy," an article titled "Queering Nuclear Weapons" authored by Nair on "disarmament" from June 2023 said. 


She then discussed how a radical academic concept, called critical queer theory, is crucial to addressing national security threats. 

"Queer theory: changing the narrative…. Queer theory is a field of study, closely related to feminist theory, that examines sex- and gender-based norms. It shines a light on the harm done by nuclear weapons through uranium mining, nuclear tests, and the tax money spent on nuclear weapons… "



"The queer lens prioritizes the rights and well-being of people over the abstract idea of national security, and it challenges the mainstream understanding of nuclear weapons—questioning whether they truly deter nuclear war, stabilize geopolitics, and reduce the likelihood of conventional war. Queer theory asks: Who created these ideas? How are they being upheld? Whose interests do they serve? And whose experiences are being excluded?"



She said, "Queer theory also identifies how the nuclear weapons discourse is gendered: Nuclear deterrence is associated with ‘rationality' and ‘security,’ while disarmament and justice for nuclear weapon victims are coded as ‘emotion’ and a lack of understanding of the 'real' mechanics of security."


Nair also said that nuclear policy through the lens of queer theory is about rejecting "the tenet that nuclear deterrence creates security and disarmament creates vulnerability."

The architectural critic and photographer John Margolies (1940–2016), on the other hand, saw there could also be home-made beauty in the buildings and signs locals built on the American roadside. For almost forty years, starting from the mid-70s he began to photograph sites during long road trips, since he was concerned these sites would be displaced by the growing modernist trend. He was credited with shaping postmodern architecture and recognizing buildings that would be added to the National Register of Historic Places through his documentary work. He documented the most remarkable examples he found, publishing some of his discoveries in books and consigning the rest to an archive, which has now been purchased by the Library of Congress who, in a amazing gracious move, have lifted all copyright restrictions on the photographs (though art works shown in some photographs may still be under copyright).


John Samuel Margolies was born on May 16, 1940, in New Canaan, Connecticut. His father was a grandson of Moses S. Margolies, a well-known Russian-born American Orthodox who served as senior rabbi in NYC.

From 1969 to 2008 John Samuel Margolies photographed the eccentric roadside architecture and ephemera of the US. Starting in 2007, the Library of Congress began to acquire his photographs, and created the public domain John Margolies Roadside America Photograph Archive in 2016, consisting of 11,710 scans of color slides taken by Margolies. If you're familiar with Ferlinghetti's poems you will most likely not be surprised to see Margolies’ archive offer up no end of "false windmills" and "demented roosters".







But the billboards he preferred to photograph illustrated relatively humble "illusions of happiness".




Probably one of his favorite roadside phenomena to document, however, were novelty buildings. He especially liked structures that mimicked their own shape or function, whether this was as witty as a car wash shaped like a whale or as uncomplicated as a coffeehouse shaped like a coffeepot.





The Teapot Dome scandal was a bribery scandal involving the administration of United States President Warren G. Harding from 1921 to 1923.

Almost all of Margolies’ work was done in the interest of preserving images of what would otherwise be lost to time. Even his first book, published in 1981, was mournfully called The End of the Road: Vanishing Highway Architecture in America. From the start, Margolies knew the quirky motels, miniature golf courses, diners, billboards, and gas stations were being endangered by franchising and changing fashions — not to mention changing patterns of automobile traffic. For decades now, most drivers have, of course, opted for the high speed-limits of superhighways and the convenience of service areas, leaving the old local highways in the lurch.

Today, this collection of Marogolies’ photographs offers an invaluable tour of the diverse vernacular architecture and signage of North America. Some of these wonders remain, while others have gone the way of the dinosaur — which, as it happens, remains one of the American roadside’s most frequent denizens.




I think it was renovated some years back and is now called "Outlaw Trail RV Park" and it's the Utah entrance to Dinosaur National Monument.
