The same playbook is being used.

1.  No-one can contact the hidden owner.

2.  It is not going down instantly ... slow burn to lights out.

3.  Long standing mods are upset.

Same playbook ... same people.  It is all about control the narrative or cancel you.

A few who got banned on ATS went to Hernando's which was active for about a year. There were things going on behind the curtain that some did not like so a big chunk left and went to Rogue Nation. Rogue has been chugging along ever since and is a nice laid back place without all the heavy moderating.  No personal attacks otherwise have at it.. I was there when Hernando's then Rogue opened and in the last two years other than a few spammers who have been deleted/blocked the Rogue site runs well and everyone seems to be more like friends than antagonist . If and when this place (DI) shuts down give Rogue a try as the site is the same as this site only easier to find stuff and navigate IMO.

DI sucks big green donkey dicks. I like that they are dying off. I'm not happy for the others I knew on ATS that are still there, but I tried DI for a while before I couldn't help myself and got kicked off. My crime? I had my profile webpage link go to a disposable chat so I could chat with others without being monitored by TSK and his henchmen. They never would have known if I hadn't brazenly claimed to do so ON ANOTHER WEBSITE!

They monitor here and Cypher Age, the other forum that came out just before DI did. There are cool people over on Cypher Age as well. I'm sure they are aware of all this crap, they sure talked about it enough and investigated that situation to the fine details.

Anyway, I'd like more of the good folks here on RN, just worried about what kind of people will wash up on shore here.

Several have said they have accounts here and will be moving to RN and/or Discord after DI shuts down. They've also mentioned a few other sites I've never heard of.

The difficult part is some IP addresses -in fact a lot recently, may have marks against them when they're
blacklist-checked. One was here a couple of minutes ago that had been black-listed for 'attacking' 32
websites!

Anytime a site keeps asking for your feelings about an article I am spring loaded to thinking it is backed by a 3 letter agency interested in data mining. Thus hide the owners and make them unavailable... Probably not the case but.....? 

Rogue does not require your feelings as posting something is appreciated. As most of us know the fastest way for a site to die is not have threads or people willing to discuss topics ..

There's too much going on, and I don't discuss it much in real life, but I need a place where I can express my viewpoint and read a variety of others.

There has been confusion about that in the past, with folks trying to log in to the old archived site, and/or not realizing that they need a new account here to access this one - their old logins from the old site won't work here. Separate websites.

Also, any of them with "place-holder" accounts here, who may have forgotten their password, we can reset the password for them so that they can get back in, and then once in they can change their password to some super-duper secret one that no one else (like the mod who resets their password for them) knows.

So much for my big plans to go into hiding, change my username to simply "Admin", and then just float over the entire assembly like some ancient and arcane overlord....

I want to be a Benevolent Tyrant when I grow up, but the way the world is going, I may never grow up. I refuse to go off adulting in this mess we live in.

ETA: Damn! They "404'ed" DBcowboy's "Alas Babylon" thread over there! Now why d'ya reckon they'd want to announce a site shutdown, and then X-out the thread suggesting alternatives to migrate to? Things that make you go "hmmmmm...".

TSK seems like an insecure Progressive type that can't handle reading opinions other than his own.
I was also 'warned' just for posting about his less-than non-bias moderating and deleting of messages. 
Also pushing silly protest promotions.....
Good riddance. Sad anyway, the format was good . 

I hope this place starts booming. 
Always takes a long time to get used to new formats. . .

ctrl+shit+V if you copy paste from other sites or the formatting will get stuffed. 

endless quotes in replies bother me, i usually edit source to remove those.
