Microsoft has agreed to purchase the energy for two decades and declined to disclose financial terms. This is the first time Microsoft has secured a dedicated, 100% nuclear facility for its use.

The decision is the latest sign of surging interest in the nuclear industry as power demand for AI soars. More than a dozen reactors went dark over roughly the past decade in the face of increasing competition from cheaper natural gas and renewable energy. But growing demand for electricity — from factories, cars and especially from data centers — has spurred interest in nuclear plants that can provide carbon-free power around the clock.

“Policymakers and the market have received a huge wake-up call,” Constellation Chief Executive Officer Joe Dominguez said in an interview. “There’s no version of the future of this country that doesn’t rely on these nuclear assets.”

Constellation — which has seen its shares jump this year thanks to mounting investor awareness of the value of power plants — plans to fund the project from its own coffers rather than seek state or federal support. That’s in contrast to Holtec International, which is pursuing the only other disclosed effort to restart a closed reactor, with about $1.8 billion in conditional funding from the US Energy Department and the state of Michigan. NextEra Energy Inc. has also said it’s considering reviving a closed Iowa reactor, in part to supply data-center customers. However, beyond these three, experts say there are few other mothballed reactors that may be suitable for restarting.

While Constellation isn’t averse to outside financial support, Dominguez said government approvals move slowly and he doesn’t want to wait. Work at Three Mile Island is expected to start immediately. The deal to supply Microsoft with electricity from the 837-megawatt reactor is Constellation’s biggest-ever power purchase deal.

The restart effort has been in the works since early 2023, when Constellation began evaluating whether it made sense to switch the reactor back on. By early this year, the company had concluded that it wanted to pursue the project, and began talking to potential customers. Microsoft was immediately interested, Dominguez said.

The nuclear power purchase will aid Microsoft’s plans to run all of its massive global network of data centers on clean energy by 2025, Bobby Hollis, Microsoft’s vice president for energy, said in an interview. This nuclear energy will be used to fuel data-center expansion in areas like Chicago, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The software giant is overhauling its entire product line around AI and the resulting increase in demand for cloud-computing is imperiling Microsoft’s plans to be carbon negative by 2030, the company said earlier this year. It spent more than $50 billion on capital expenditures in the fiscal year that ended June 30, largely on data-center expansion. It plans to top that figure in the current fiscal year.

While the additional nuclear power will help Microsoft’s climate goals, it does not address the most intractable issue – emissions from concrete, steel and chips used in the data centers, Hollis said.
“This is not a simple piece, but it’s easier than figuring out how to decarbonize the entire supply chain,” he said.

Still, data centers make a useful customer for nuclear power. Wind and solar power outputs can vary, while a nuclear plant generally runs constantly and requires a customer that can take all of that electricity, Hollis said. That makes tech companies selling cloud computing an ideal option.
“We run around the clock. They run around the clock,” he said.

Microsoft isn't the only tech company looking to nuclear power to fuel its AI ambitions. Earlier this year, Amazon.com Inc.'s cloud computing division agreed to spend $650 million to acquire a data center campus connected to Talen Energy Corp.’s 40-year-old nuclear power plant on the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania.

While the Three Mile Island reactor was mothballed in 2019, Dominguez said the equipment is still in good shape. Still, restarting it will require significant investments in the main transformer, turbine and cooling systems. The company will have to restaff the facility and must seek approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Constellation will also seek to extend its operating license through 2054, and is planning to rename the facility the Crane Clean Energy Center, after the late Chris Crane, former CEO of Exelon Corp., which spun out its generation unit to become Constellation in 2022.

One of the biggest hurdles will be connecting the plant to the power grid operated by PJM Interconnection LLC, which has a lengthy queue. If PJM can move fast enough, Dominguez said the facility could potentially be ready to supply power as early as 2027.

“I’m so glad we’re reversing a terrible mistake that shouldn’t have happened,” he said. “It will be a lot more difficult to achieve the energy transition if we only want to use wind and solar and storage.”

Host Mike Slater pressed Gaetz on the claim of five assassination teams existing in the country, and Gaetz reiterated that they are “aware of at least five teams in-country that are geared toward killing Trump. ”
“And I think, you know, three of them that we know are foreign in nature. Two of them we know are domestic in nature, and that calls for a force protection that we do not have around the former president right now,” the Florida congressman said, reemphasizing that a senior DHS official met with him and relayed that information, explaining that “they were aware of this and were concerned that the Secret Service was not providing sufficient support.”

When asked how it would even be possible to have assassination teams walking around, Gaetz said there is simply “insufficient scrutiny to stop them from doing so.”
“Three of these teams are foreign-inspired, from my understanding — Iranians, Ukraine, Pakistan — and, you know, the work is obviously challenging to protect — protective detail, like a presidential campaign that is vigorous and out campaigning,” he said.
Given this threat, Gaetz said they are investigating to see if they have the right protective detail, such as the correct sniper teams and the right tactical teams.
“And we’ve seen a few times where resources have been pulled off of the Trump detail for the Jill Biden detail or for the John Bolton detail. And we’re going to question whether or not that was sound, given what we knew about the efforts to kill Trump,” he added.

“It’s a great point. The barrier to entry to assassination chaos seems to be lowered,” Gaetz said, noting that he has colleagues who are suspicious that there is something more nefarious at play within the Secret Service.
“I have Republican colleagues who have not ruled out a mole inside the Secret Service of providing information about points of vulnerability,” he said. “I’ve not seen evidence of that, but I’ve got colleagues that are very, very smart at this who say they can’t rule that out, given some of the anomalies and the fact pattern here.”
More likely, Gaetz said, there is “such a sense of disdain for Trump, and there’s such a desire to diminish him within some of these agencies that giving him less protection, not having him surrounded by a bunch of strong men that appear authoritative in nature, that that type of a virtue signal to drain protective resources away is tolerated because, frankly, in their heart of hearts, they don’t think much of Trump.”
Gaetz added that they “don’t think much of … safety and security, and it’s that disregard that I think has created that dynamic” Slater described.

Outside the coast of northern Norway, Ruby got problems. On Monday August 26 and called for permission to sail into sheltered waters. At the time, a storm with wind up to 25-30 meters per second hit the coast and waves were high.

Spokesperson Hanne Olafsen with the Norwegian Joint Headquarters says to the Barents Observer that port of refuge was granted for the vessel.

“The military approved place of shelter based on the application.”

According to newspaper Nordlys, the vessel stayed inside Vannøya north of Tromsø for several days before she on Sunday was escorted by two Norwegian tugs to port in Tromsø.

The Ruby sailed into Tromsø with own engines and it is It is not immediately clear what emergency the ship claims.

It became even more concerning to the Norwegians when they discovered what cargo The Ruby - now safely berthed alongside the university and hospital in the city that rings the Tromsø harbor - had onboard.

Authorities wanted the piece of crap vessel on its way, stat.

When I first started reading a truly fascinating thread on this last night, twisted as I am, the thing that popped into my head was the tragic Harry Chapin song, Thirty Thousand Pounds of Bananas.



Weird connection, right? Not exactly.

To their utter horror, The Ruby, Norwegians found out, is carrying 20,000 tons of ammonium nitrate.

TWENTY THOUSAND TONS OF AMMONIUM NITRATE

In case anyone has a vague idea of the significance but isn't quite sure, lemme paint a quick picture:



For comparison sake, this was the Port of Beirut blast four years ago ~ 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate.

This vessel is carrying more than seven times that amount.

Norway booted The Ruby from the harbor to a strategic anchorage, but not before people started taking note of some other unsettling features.

Ammonium nitrate is one of the shadow commercial enterprises the Russians are conducting to keep money flowing into war-depleted coffers. Most of the country's production comes out of the far north and transits through the Baltic. That route also helps keep Russian eyes - however they're painted as innocent commercial shipping - on strategic NATO bases and ports in the area.

The Ruby slowly got underway at last but shortly thereafter lost propulsion to begin drifting. The ship requested that they be able to pull in and make repairs in a Lithuanian port and were politely rebuffed until the ship could find another port to off-load their explosive cargo to first.

She's now without any power, her crew is reported to have no papers (?!), and the ship whose cargo's explosive potential has been compared to Hiroshima is being towed toward the Danish Strait of the Great Belt, a tricky passage in the best times with a fully functioning vessel.

After departing from Kandalaksha, a Russian port in the Murmansk region, the ship anchored near NATO’s strategically important Andøya airbase for several days, raising further suspicions.

Denmark, already dealing with a “shadow fleet” of Russian tankers circumventing sanctions, now faces added pressure to handle this precarious situation. Experts stress the need for NATO allies to coordinate a strategy to address the risks posed by Ruby and other similarly vulnerable vessels.

Proximity to Norway’s Strategic Military Infrastructure

The Ruby’s location near Bergen places it alarmingly close to critical installations. Bergen is home to the Naval Base Haakonsvern, Norway’s largest military port and a key site for its maritime defense operations. The base is not only Norway’s premier naval installation, but also a cornerstone of NATO’s regional security framework. Any explosion from the Ruby could cripple Norway's naval capabilities and disrupt NATO’s strategic readiness in the North Atlantic and Arctic regions.

His somber conclusion:

It is a stark reminder that Putin doesn't need conventional warfare - he only needs "fishing boats" to take out undersea cables and commercial cargo vessels to threaten vital facilities.

In the meantime, The Ruby meanders along down the Norwegian coastline towards Denmark. God willing, there will be an offload and repairs in her future.

I sincerely hope the heroic figures in the tug have employed a tow cable that is miles long.

This is surreal.

This was one of my dad's favorites. Him and I used to watch this when I was growing up. On his birthday it was something him and I would sit down and watch together. I believe it reminded him of his own childhood memories with this film.

Today would be his 73 birthday, and so I am going to sit down, with some alien grass, and watch this like him and I used to.

I also really enjoyed this film growing up. An oldie, but a goodie. 

The Thing from Another World

In Anchorage, journalist Ned Scott, looking for a story, visits the officer's club of the Alaskan Air Command, where he meets Captain Pat Hendry, his co-pilot and flight navigator. General Fogarty orders Hendry to fly to Polar Expedition Six at the North Pole, per a request from its lead scientist, Nobel laureate Dr. Arthur Carrington; Carrington has radioed that an unusual aircraft has crashed nearby. With Scott, Corporal Barnes, crew chief Bob, and a pack of sled dogs, Hendry pilots a Douglas C-47 Skytrain transport aircraft to the remote outpost.

Upon arrival, Scott and the airmen meet radio operator Tex, scientists Dr. Chapman and his wife, and colleagues Vorhees, Stern, Redding, Stone, Laurence, Wilson, Ambrose, and Carrington. Hendry later rekindles his romance with Nikki Nicholson, Carrington's secretary. Several scientists fly with the airmen to the crash site, finding a large object buried beneath the ice. As they spread out to determine the object's shape, they realize that they are standing in a circle, outlining a flying saucer. The team attempts free it from the ice with thermite, but a violent reaction with the craft's metal alloy completely destroys it. Their Geiger counter, however, detects something buried nearby, a frozen body. It is excavated intact in a large block of ice and flown back to the base as an Arctic storm closes in on them.

Given the discovery, Hendry assumes command of the outpost and, pending radio instructions from General Fogarty, both denies Scott permission to send out his story and the scientists' demands to examine the body. Tex sends an update to Fogarty, and the airmen settle for the storm. A watch is posted; relieving the first shift, Barnes is disturbed by the creature's glare through the clearing ice and covers it with an electric blanket he does not realize is plugged in. The block slowly thaws and the creature, still alive, escapes into the storm. It fights with the sled dogs and kills two, but loses most of its right forearm.

An airman recovers the stump after the attack and the scientists examine its tissue, concluding that the creature is an advanced form of plant life. Carrington is convinced of its superiority to humans and becomes intent on communicating with it. The airmen begin a search, which leads to the outpost's greenhouse. Carrington stays behind with other scientists, having noticed evidence of alien activity there. They discover a hidden third sled dog, which had been bled dry, revealing the creature as a vampire that feeds on blood. Carrington and the scientists post a secret watch of their own, hoping to encounter it before the airmen do.

The next morning, the airmen continue their search. Tex informs them that Fogarty is aware of their discovery and demands further information, now prevented by the fierce storm. Stern appears, badly injured, and tells the group that the creature has killed and bled two scientists. When the airmen investigate, they are attacked, but manage to barricade the creature inside the greenhouse. Hendry confronts Carrington and orders him to remain in his lab and quarters.

Carrington, obsessed with the creature, shows Nicholson and the other scientists that he has been growing small alien plants from seeds taken from the severed arm and feeding them with the base’s blood plasma supply. Hendry discovers the theft when plasma is needed to treat Stern, which leads him to Carrington. Fogarty transmits orders to keep the creature alive, but it escapes from the greenhouse and attacks the airmen in their quarters. They douse it with buckets of kerosene and set it aflame, forcing it to retreat into the -60F storm. After regrouping, they realize the creature has sabotaged the base furnaces’ oil supply, plummeting temperatures indoors. They retreat to the station's generator room to keep warm, and rig a high-voltage electrical "fly trap". The creature continues to stalk them. At the last moment Carrington pleads with it, but is knocked violently aside. The creature walks into the trap and is electrocuted. On Hendry's order, it is reduced to a pile of ash.

When the weather clears, Hendry and Nicholson are careening toward marriage, and Scotty is finally able to radio his "story of a lifetime" to a roomful of reporters in Anchorage. He ends his broadcast with the warning: "Tell the world. Tell this to everybody, wherever they are. Watch the skies everywhere. Keep looking. Keep watching the skies...".

The monkeypox virus is part of the same family of viruses (orthopoxviruses) as smallpox but is less severe. In 1980, the World Health Assembly announced that smallpox had been eradicated and recommended that all countries cease vaccination. Although labs in two countries still officially store smallpox samples (U.S. and Russia).

Mpox was first identified in Denmark, in 1958, when two outbreaks of a pox-like disease occurred in lab monkeys, which is how it got its name- although monkeys are not considered to be reservoirs for the virus. The source of the virus is said to be unknown.

In 1970, the first human case of mpox was recorded in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This was during a time when smallpox was being eradicated. The disease is considered to be endemic to countries in central and west Africa. The outbreaks have been concentrated among men who have sex with men.

In late September 2023, the emergence of a new variant of the virus was detected in central Africa. As of August 2024, more than 21,000 cases have been reported, with over 600 fatalities, nearly all in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

On 14 August 2024, the World Health Organization declared the epidemic a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC).

A month after the WHO’s announcement, the small Danish biotech firm, Bavarian Nordic became the first in the world to receive approval for a monkeypox vaccine, JYNNEOS (known internationally as Imvamune or Imvanex), initially developed for smallpox but was rarely used.

In the wake of the September 2001 anthrax attacks, President George W. Bush signed into law the Project BioShield Act of 2004 (Project BioShield) “as part of a broader strategy to defend America against the threat of weapons of mass destruction. The purpose of Project BioShield is to accelerate the research, development, purchase, and availability of effective medical countermeasures against biological, chemical, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats.”

Project Bioshield was a ten year program managed by Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The act called for $5 billion for purchasing vaccines that would be used in the event of a bioterrorist attack, for civilian use. Since 2001, $50 billion has been allocated by the United States government to address the threat of biological weapons.

A key element of the Act allowed the stockpiling and distribution of vaccines that had not been tested for safety or efficacy in humans, “due to ethical concerns.” This is because the agents could not have been tested in humans without also exposing them to the threat- instead animal testing was used to establish efficacy.

Bavarian Nordic’s small pox vaccine was developed under Project Bioshield. The US government partnered with it to develop Jynneos, primarily to prevent smallpox in the event of a bioterrorist attack. Another strategic, “public-private partnership”, which resulted in the creation of a billion-dollar shot was Moderna’s collaboration with the NIH’s Vaccine Research Centre. The Covid mRNA-based shot, Spikevax, became Moderna’s first (after ten years of failing to bring a drug or vaccine to market) and most lucrative product ever.

Bavarian Nordic president and CEO Paul Chaplin said:

Quote:“Jynneos was also the first smallpox vaccine successfully developed under Project BioShield, a programme created by the US Congress in 2004 to accelerate the research, development, procurement, and availability of medical countermeasures against biological, chemical, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) agents through public-private partnerships.”

As mentioned earlier, Bavarian Nordic’s small pox vaccine was rarely used but on the heels of the WHO announcing mpox as a PHEIC, orders started flooding in from around the world.

On September 18, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance “announced an advance purchase agreement (APA) to secure 500,000 doses of the MVA-BN® mpox vaccine (marketed as JYNNEOS® or IMVANEX®) to be supplied to countries in Africa impacted by the mpox outbreak.”

On a side note- in June 2001, just a few months before the anthrax attacks which led to Project Bioshield, a bioterrorism training exercise, code-named “Dark Winter” simulated a covert smallpox attack on the United States. It was a collaborative effort led by the John Hopkins Center for Civilian Biodefense Strategies, the ANSER Institute for Homeland Security, and the Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention Terrorism. Those who were present included several Congressmen, a former CIA director (James Woolsey), Tara [Terrible] O’Toole (then Director of John Hopkins Center for Civilian Biodefense Strategies, now Director of the CIA hedge fund In-Q-Tel) and CIA’s former deputy director for Science and Technology (Ruth David) and selected members of the press.

Those who participated in “Dark Winter” explored strategies for imposing coercive quarantines; censorship; mandatory masking, lockdowns, and vaccination; and expanded police powers as the only rational responses to the pandemic. Eerily, these strategies were adopted as governmental Covid countermeasures, decades later.

The organizer of this pandemic simulation was former Air Force physician Robert Kadlec, who also happened to lead “Crimson Contagion” in 2019- another pandemic simulation run by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) involving a scenario in which a group of tourists returning from China spread a novel influenza virus in the United States.

Robert Kadlec served as Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services (Preparedness and Response) from 2017-2021. He was responsible for the creation of Operation Warp Speed, the Covid vaccine development program.

A second small pox vaccine that was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the prevention of mpox was ACAM2000, on August 29th, under Expanded Access Investigational New Drug (EA-IND) protocol.

ACAM2000 is manufactured by the controversial, Emergent BioSolutions. It was originally approved to prevent small pox in 2007.

The side effects of ACAM2000 make a horrifying read.



Not only is death listed as a “serious complication” but alarmingly the FDA’s own medication guide states: “ACAM2000 contains live vaccinia virus that can be transmitted to persons who have close contact with the vaccinee and the risks in contacts are the same as those for the vaccinee.”

Meaning that even people who come into close contact with someone who has been vaccinated could possibly die. The packaging insert even states this: “Death has also been reported in unvaccinated contacts accidentally infected by individuals who have been vaccinated.”

According to the CDC:

Quote:ACAM2000 is a second-generation vaccine that contains a live vaccinia virus that replicates efficiently in humans. It is manufactured by Emergent Bio Solutions and is indicated for the prevention of smallpox. It has been made available for use against mpox in the clade II outbreak under an Expanded Access Investigational New Drug (EA-IND) protocol, which requires informed consent along with completing additional forms. ……Although the United States has a large supply of ACAM2000, this vaccine has more side effects and contraindications than JYNNEOS.

Notably, on the vaccine information sheet for the other small pox-turned-mpox vaccine, JYNNEOS, it reads: “CDC recommends consideration of the vaccine for people who administer ACAM2000®, or who care for patients infected with orthopoxviruses.”

In June of this year, Emergent BioSolutions “received more than $250 million in contract modifications from the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) at the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), to deliver millions of doses of four medical countermeasures (MCMs). . These contract modifications will help ensure continued supply/stockpiling of critical MCMs to address biological threats and emergencies against anthrax, smallpox and botulism.”

One of the awards included a contract modification valued at $99.9 million to supply ACAM2000® this year.

What is interesting is that the FDA’s approval of ACAM2000 for the prevention of mpox came on the heels of Emergent BioSolutions pledge to donate 50,000 doses of its vaccine to “Democratic Republic of the Congo and other impacted countries of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda to address the current mpox outbreak.”

It is also noteworthy that this deadly vaccine was being stockpiled- with the CDC’s comment “the United States has a large supply,” nodding to that fact. The mpox outbreak provided the perfect opportunity to off-load the surplus stock.

It is deeply disturbing that the FDA would approve a vaccine so life-alteringly harmful to not just those being given it- but for those who would come into close contact with the vaccinee. However, unlike the gene-based Covid shots that were branded as “vaccines,” at least the side effects are clearly stated on the medication guide for there to be some kind of informed consent.

This begs the question: how could the deadly ACAM2000 have gotten approval in the first place? Perhaps ,“Dark Winter/ Crimson Contagion” Robert Kadlec and his connections might provide an answer.

Before being appointed by Trump as Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response in 2017, Kadlec was previously a consultant for none other than- Emergent BioSolutions. The very same U.S. biotechnology company that purchased ACAM2000 from Sanofi Pasteur in 2017. Kadlec was part-owner of a consulting company RPK Consulting providing services to Emergent, apparently until 2015. He chose not to disclose these facts in Senate nomination forms during his confirmation process in 2017.

Right after taking office, in a resounding conflict of interest move, Kadlec aggressively pushed to increase the government's stockpile of smallpox vaccine through purchase agreements with Emergent BioSolutions. In the end, the HHS awarded a 10-year, $2.8 billion single-source contract to the company to purchase its smallpox vaccines at twice the previous price.

It is noteworthy that in 1998, Colonel Dr Robert Kadlec, who at the time was the Biodefence Programmes Director at the Department of Homeland Security, wrote in a Pentagon strategy paper: “Using biological weapons under the cover of an endemic or natural disease occurrence provides an attacker the potential for plausible denial. Biological warfare’s potential to create significant economic loss and subsequent political instability, coupled with plausible denial, exceeds the possibilities of any other human weapon.”

Mpox, Project Bioshield, Everyone's Dark Winter?

I feel the need to share this experience I've been having and that this was the best place to share it first and give it a test run.

Since July, I've been dealing with the family estate that belonged to my mother and her husband. Other than being a trustee for a trust the situation of cleaning out a house full of the possessions of two lifetimes is much the same as any other estate. My step-sister is the other trustee and we decided to run the estate sales on our own.

Of course, rummaging through the family's belongings that accumulated since at least the 1970s was an emotional experience and one that shed light on many things over the years, things that began to make me question the results of these two lifetimes.

My mother did very well and her last husband came into the relationship with just a suitcase, so I imagine that was the main reason the trust was created. The trust allowed them to live comfortably in their later years and enabled their hoarding of possessions to progress into a serious problem, esp. after Mom died and her husband had nothing better to do than collect things.

They had similar interests and tastes in antiques and Native American culture and they both had the hoarding trait that had them collecting things and then storing most of it where ever they could. It was total mental illness by the time Dad passed away and an unbelievable task that they have drawn me into from beyond the grave.

I had a few emotional break downs while working the estate and began to come to grips with the spiritual side of all this. This came to a head recently when I finally cleaned out the attic where the Christmas stuff was stored. "Here's your Merry Christmas in hell" was basically what I was saying while I tossed the shit down the folding attic stairs on to the floor below.

Once I calmed down, I began to think about a few Bible verses that applied to the situation. Now that I'm back at home for awhile, I did some research and have come to the conclusion that there is no place in heaven for hoarders. So that only leaves one other place in the afterlife.

Below is my research for you to decide where hoarders end up.

Hoarding and Sin

The most frightening and damning verses are from James who makes it pretty clear what will happen to hoarders once they pass away.

James 5:1-5 King James Bible

(1) Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. (2) Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. (3) Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. (4) Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. (5) Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

In the hereafter, hoarders will weep and wail in misery, fire will eat their flesh, they will be slaughtered, and they will have done it all to themselves during their lives.

1 Corinthians condemns the greedy behavior inherent in hoarding by grouping it with other serious sins (as covetousness) resulting in not making it into heaven, which will only leave you one other place in the afterlife.

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Here Matthew simplifies James's words, elaborates a little, and gives the reader the way back to the Lord.

(24) No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (25) Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew relates this story about the Lord to illustrate his teachings on hoarding treasure.

Luke's warning and parable also illustrate the sinfullness of hoarding. The first and last quotes from Luke presented here are enough without the parable in between.

(18) And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. (19) And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. (20) But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? (21) So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

(11) But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

To sum it up, hoarding to the degree which I found it is related to the sins of coveting, greed, idolatry, along with a couple of others. Then to add to it, there was this obsession with primitive Native cultures and my Mother's choice of the Mormon religion at the end. Not good if you know and study the Bible and have real faith.
