Here it is, gang. Now even you can implant your own subliminal messages into images. 
This is flat out in our faces as to what's been going on with all the movies, TV, computer and phones screens; and TPTB's secret little tactics in the weaponization of all these devices.
Makes me wonder how much freewill we've all actually lost...

Every week, the social media hype-train seems to find new ways to sensationalize generative AI tools. Most recently, a new technique that allows users to produce optical illusions went viral, with some describing the results as AI-generated images with “subliminal” messages. 

The technique, called ControlNet, essentially lets users have more control over the generated image by specifying additional inputs—in this case, letting you create images or words within other images. Some users characterized this as a form of “hidden message” that could be used to implant suggestions in the form of subtle visual cues, like a McDonald’s “M” logo appearing in the outlines of a movie poster.

On Twitter—which is now called “X” for some reason—algorithmically-boosted blue-check users hyped up the technique as either nefarious or revolutionary, posting various images with “hidden” messages. But the messages are typically not very subtle, and the method for creating them—while certainly novel—is fairly simple.

“I think the ‘subliminal message’ angle is a bit sensationalist/tech-bro-y,” Apolinário Passos, an AI researcher at HuggingFace, told Motherboard. 

ControlNet uses the AI image-generating tool Stable Diffusion, and one of its initial uses was generating fancy QR codes using the code as an input image. That idea was then taken further, with some users developing a workflow that lets them specify any image or text as a black-and-white mask that implants itself into the generated image—kind of like an automated, generative version of the masking tool in Photoshop.

“What happened there was that this user discovered that if they used the QR Code ControlNet but instead of feeding it a QR code, they fed it some other black-and-white patterns, they could create nice optical illusions,” said Passos. “You can now send a conditioning image and the model blends in a pattern that satisfies that while still making a coherent image at the same time.”

So while ControlNet-produced images will probably stick around, the reality of the tech is far less sensational than the AI hype crew makes it out to be.

“Will this be a subliminal message nightmare where brands hide their logo/products into seemingly innocent images and manipulate us? Probably not,” said Passos. “Will we see this in ads very soon, but with a double-meaning where you look/look again/squint to see […] and have people talking about it? I think so!”


And there you have it. An omission in my book. Now we get to have this capability and so it'll be more accepted that this subliminal war on the citizens of the world. Let us do it so it's okay.

Over 830,000 ballot impressions were illegally destroyed after the 2020 Election. No one has been held accountable for this crime.



Another 150,000 ballots were identified during the recounts in Fulton County, Georgia that were supposedly mail-in ballots, but they had never been reviewed. These ballots were identical and were not folded and yet we were told they were mail-in ballots.

VoterGA sued the county to be able to review these ballots.  The lower court said they didn’t have standing after leading them on in a 9-month trial.  The Georgia Appellate Court agreed some months later, and then finally, last Christmas, the Georgia Supreme Court said VoterGA had standing and could, therefore, review the ballots.

This ruling was passed down to the Appellate Court, which has sat on it, still not allowing VoterGA to review these ballots.  


God only knows if these ballots have not been tampered with during this time.

I remember this case when it first broke, but then forgot all about it over the years till I noticed some armchair cold case detective was recently posting about it. And that peaked my curiosity in some twisted strange way as some "true crime" stories are in fact captivating and I guess in part to that time of spooky season is once again nearly upon us.


Backstory::
On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams (June 23, 2003 – February 13, 2017) and Liberty German (December 27, 2002 – February 13, 2017) were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, after the girls had disappeared from that trail the previous day. The murders have received extensive media coverage, in part due to video and audio recordings released by law enforcement that came from German's smartphone, which recorded an individual believed to be the killer.

WARNING: some excerpts below may distress you. This is not a Halloween horror story, though it reads like one.

Evidence found at the crime scene consisted of symbols in the form of runes made up of sticks and fashioned with tree branches, which defense attorneys said were obvious signatures left behind by Odinites.

Allen, 52, a drugstore worker who had been living in the same small community where the teens resided, was arrested on murder charges in Oct. 2022. Insisting their client is innocent, the defense attorneys stated that it wasn't plausible that one person was responsible for the murders of Libby and Abby, listing 92 reasons in support of their claim.

“Cheers!” is known as a version of “Thank you!” found in British slang. I never use it myself, because I don’t do slang. I heard it first at school, when a future minor novelist asked a standing classmate to put something in his locker, then stuck up a thumb and said “Cheers, Paul!”. I’ve never been able to reconcile myself to the usage, because the logic of it escaped me. All the same, I’ve been putting my mind recently into working out how iy came into existence.
 
Since “Cheers!” is also a toast, as in the title of the American sitcom, the place to start is the ancient ritual of “libation”, when liquid was spilled onto the ground as a form of sacrifice to the gods, accompanied by a prayer. The practice of “toasting” must have developed from that ritual. The difference is that the liquid is drunk instead of being spilled. Less wasteful. The common factor is the accompanying prayer. This is most obvious in the case of a formal toast, as at a wedding reception, when the master of ceremonies might ask the guests to be upstanding and drink a toast to (i.e. praying for) the couple’s future health and happiness.
 
In a British pub, the normal setting for an informal toast is the gathering of a group of friends, when they meet or when somebody else joins them. Raising their glasses, ready to take the first sip of the evening, they will offer prayers for each other’s wellbeing; “Good luck!” “Here’s to you!” “Your very good health, sir!” “And yours!” That is the ritual. My new theory on the clinking of glasses is that it helps to ensure that the benefits of these “blessings” get passed on by contact to the speaker’s companions. I think Sir James Frazier would call it “contagious magic”.
 
In modern times, the wording has got more diverse. Evidently some people were getting tired of the old phrases, but they still felt bound by a social obligation to say something on taking the first sip. By the time of the Second World War, Evelyn Waugh’s characters were being bemused by novelties like “Here’s how!” Or it might be “Here’s mud in your eye!”. When I was working in Scotland one summer, a colleague would exclaim “Here’s the skin off your Christmas!”. This was explained, but I won’t repeat the explanation. Alternatively the “wish for well-being” might disappear altogether, being replaced by a simple comment on the act of drinking; “Bottoms up!” “Down the hatch!” “First tonight!”
 
How did “Cheers!” get onto this list. I think we have to go back to the First World War. Doing research for a dissertation, I was reading through copies of the Primitive Methodist Leader of that time. Its columns included reports from the denomination’s army chaplains on the front line. In one of the reports, a chaplain described how he had encouraged soldiers moving up in preparation for an attack by greeting each one of them with “Cheery-oh!”. This was rather startling, because I know “Cheerio!” as a light-hearted informal farewell, the kind of thing you might shout on the departure of family visitors. Then I looked again at the spelling and realised that he must have meant it in the sense “Keep cheerful!” “Keep your spirits up!” “Good luck!” That would explain “Cheerio!” as a toast a generation later (see Evelyn Waugh again), which leads into the shorter version “Cheers!”.
 
I think that gives me the explanation of “Cheers!” as an expression of thanks. I’m going to interpret it as a kind of drink-less toast, with the uplifted thumb which I noticed taking the place of the raised glass. I suggest that “Cheers!” as a way of saying “Thank you” means “If I had a glass in my hand, I would offer a toast for your good health in return for the favour you’ve done me.”
 
This is all guesswork, of course, but if you think you can find a better explanation you are welcome to try.

I know, if you go out in public these days or muck around in social media it can seem quite dark and you wonder if something has gotten in the water with all the dark and lost and even evil people you frequently encounter these days.

But fear not I think it's a case of the squeaky wheel gets the attention situation.

Tired of watching the same old thing on a Friday, I dug around for a movie and found this. I remember when it came out and didn't give it much interest, even though Clint is a hell of an actor and director.

So I gave it a go.

Overall, it's what you expect from the tail end of his career, as far as what he's been doing.

Pretty much like the last few I saw, heavily weighted towards the characters and just overall good story telling. If you watched gran torino, it's not that far off.

It's heartwarming, it's a story of broken people, struggling to get back something they've lost, or never had.

Clint has this pattern down pat in his latter years, he plays the worn, broken and shut away character who finds purpose when there was no expectation or hope of finding anything ever again(hence the gran torino reference).

He's a washed up, injured, alcoholic cowboy who's former business partner asks him for a favor, find his long distance son in mexico and bring him home. The plot is obvious, the beauty is in the acting, scenes and emotion you feel as you join the cast on their journey.

I recommend it, if you have the patience for a slow, drawn out but ultimately rewarding journey. Moreso if you identify with Clints characters in these films(broken, shut away and given up on society).
