“Amnesty International reiterates its call to place human rights at the heart of any international tax reform process and eventual treaty. This will ensure that states’ existing human rights obligations both guide and inform the negotiations and the outcome.”  


Background
The resolution passed by states at the UNGA second committee calls for a two-step process to negotiate a UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation. It was proposed by Nigeria, and backed overwhelmingly, despite opposition from some higher income states including the United States and the United Kingdom.  


Firstly, a committee will agree terms of reference for negotiating a convention, which will be finalized by autumn 2024.  


In the second stage, a treaty text will be negotiated. The resolution agreed to take into account the needs, priorities and capacities of all countries, in particular developing countries and countries in special situations. Although a tax agreement was secured through the auspices of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2021, both the process and outcomes have been insufficiently inclusive and fair, especially with respect to non-OECD member countries.

She made further threats against children. In one instance, without referencing who "we" is, saying: "We're coming for your children." She added: "While you're sitting out here talking your s***, we're not gonna come for you, we're gonna come for your f****** children. Do you understand me?"


Willie made several references to sexually assaulting children, some using language that is not appropriate for publication, but specifically made threats against "your daughters in the bathroom" and allegedly admitted to being "openly a pedophile."

In another threat made online, Willie took aim at Black people and threatened to "infect them with HIV" via a syringe.



"They're trash, they're Christian trash. They're transphobic, they're homophobic. They're no different than the f****** white supremacists," Willie said according to the indictment.


She also threatened to go to Uganda and "assassinate all of the parliament members."


In 2018 the FBI received reports of a threat made by Willie on Facebook, in which she claimed to have killed a preacher that had molested her and hundreds of other children. The FBI previously spoke to Willie about a separate threat made on streaming platform Twitch, in which she threatened to bomb people who discriminate against transgender rights.

Seeing some changes on the world stage, from elections swinging toward the "hard right" aka nationalism/country first outcomes to backlash in some areas against the mass unfettered/illegal migration.

Seems nationalism is on the rise, is that a bad thing?

Why shouldn't a countries government and it's citizens put their own first, not solely, but first. Why is this painted as bad? Who paints it that way(globalists, obviously, those that wish to chop up and parcel off a country for their own gain).

I for one, think it's great, every country should put their people and their interests, their culture, their identity FIRST.

The only argument anyone seems to have against this is by attaching a race in front of it and making it sound bad, those usually doing it, have nobodies interest in mind other than their own pocketbook.

Today is a day that a nation gives thanks by gathering with family at the dinner table with a feast of some kind or another. Not everyone can afford to go all out on the celebration with fancy spreads and all the trimmings, or have family close enough to gather with, but this does not mean that there isn't still much to be thankful for.

I am one of those who live by meger means, and I live alone and don't have family left around to have those nice family gatherings. But I am also very thankful for exactly the way my life has turned out. 

Truth be told my life has been a mess quite a bit. I have had seasons of blessings and seasons of hardships. I have struggled equally for both. I have witnessed the darkest corners and the brightest skies. I have been surrounded by loved ones with laughter dancing in the air, and I have felt the cold and lonely silence of solitude. I have felt the finger of God touch my soul with the most blissful joy our bodies can handle, and I have felt the devil kick me in my teeth as he raked me across his coals. I have felt the sweetest victories and the bitterest of defeats. I have been loved and I have been hated. 

Even with having a tougher than normal life (imo), with all the struggles I have faced, I am thankful for every bit of it.  

I am thankful I know the darkness as well as I know the Light. I am thankful I know both joy and pain. I am thankful for this stubborn mind that pushed back against everything that didn't seem right. I am thankful for the lashes I have endured at the hands (or mouths) of my enemies, as much as i am thankful for the embraces of those who love me.

I am very thankful for the fact that my life hasn't been easy. I am thankful for the meekness in which I have lived. I am thankful for these eyes that can see that.

I am thankful I know the difference in what is right and what is wrong. 
I am thankful for the fact that I am happy for everyone in all their blessings and that I truly do not covet or despise those more fortunate than myself. 

Which makes me most thankful that I know Love. I am thankful for the love in my heart for others. I am glad I know the pain of loving others, as much as being loved by others. 

Sum it all up, and I am thankful I know the Truth.

Regardless of what I have, or where I am at in life; whether in abundance or in need, I have learned the Secret of being content.

So a right wing candidate appears to have won a plurality of the national vote (Geert Wilders)

Doesn't mean he will be the PM as he needs almost double the seats in parliament than his party currently has in order to form a government.  He may be able to form a coalition, but that works both ways.  The Euroleft is certain to form awkward coalitions just to keep him out of power.

Cav take: Right wing politics haven't been popular in Europe since 1945 as Adolf burnt everyone out with his version of those.  But for the last three decades, the Euroleft has consistently disregarded the interests of their own people in order to encourage migration from other regions of the world into Europe.  Things are getting feisty; once quiet cities in Sweden become "grenade attack capitals of Europe" etc.  And the average Europeans are slowly getting fed up with it all, thus right wing and populist candidates are garnering more of the vote.

Sweden, Italy, and now, the Netherlands.  The Eurocrats in Brussels are NOT happy with these developments.
