OK, before I go too far here, I don't want anyone to believe I am supporting any point of view in this thread. I am merely sharing a personal observation.

I've been desperate enough to frequent Gab Social and despite blocking the Neo-Nazis and White Power types in an attempt to get only quality input, I still get exposed to some ultra-rightwing propaganda that I find disturbing. I view such posts with great suspicion because this seems to support the left's contention that Trump is an evil dictator akin to Adolf Hitler who is supported by mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, white supremacists.

While dodging and ignoring all the antisemitic, white-power, and Neo-Nazi crap so prolific on Gab Social, I can confidently state that some posts and memes portray Donald Trump as a Christ-like savior worthy of a giant monument or cathedral. Based on likes for such posts, it has me wondering a couple of things,

"How many people actually believe Donald Trump has some divine authority?" 

And

"Does the "Ultra-MAGA" blind follower characterization of Trump supporters as portrayed by the left have any validity?"

There are specific answers to be sure, but I tend to believe that nothing is entirely black or white and will except percentages, probabilities and personal opinion as an answer.

Meditation is something I mastered early on in life. I've used several techniques over the years, and have even learned to meditate into nirvana with simple breathingand focus techniques. 

This is unlike any meditation practice ive ever heard of.

Forty-one bodies have been found inside a Buddhist monastery in Thailand where they were allegedly being used in meditation practices.

Police are now trying to identify the cadavers discovered on Saturday and whether they were obtained legally by the Pa Nakhon Chaibovorn monastery in the lower north province of Phichit.



Maj Gen Tadej Klomkliang, chief of Phichit provincial police, told the Bangkok Post he was investigating how the deceased had died.

The monastery claimed the bodies, which police said were accompanied with death and body donation certificates, were willingly donated by devoted followers.

Phra Ajarn Saifon Phandito, head of the monastery, said that the use of corpses was part of a “meditation technique” he developed.

“Many of the people who come to learn are abbots and all these monks... pass on the knowledge,” he told Thai PBS, the state broadcaster. “I don’t know how many have adopted my technique.”

The police raid came days after 12 mummified bodies were discovered at another remote monastery, in neighbouring Kamphaeng Phet province, on Wednesday.

Officers found the bodies, including that of a child, being used in meditation practices at the Siri Chan Forest Monastery. Followers believed dead bodies could provide supernatural powers, according to local media reports.



Ancient ritual
Corpse meditation is an ancient Buddhist ritual, largely limited to Thailand, where practitioners meditate next to cadavers at different stages of decomposition in order to increase awareness that death can strike at any time.

The corpse is often a child or young adult who died unexpectedly and whose body was donated to a temple by their family.

Thailand’s population is overwhelmingly Buddhist, but many hold beliefs outside the religion that include the worship of spirits and ghosts.

Phichit police said they were working with authorities in other provinces to investigate how widespread the practice of corpse meditation was.

Thailand’s National Office of Buddhism was also looking into whether the monastery’s corpse meditation practices conflict with Buddhist principles.



In May 2022, Thai police arrested Thawee Nanra, a 75-year-old suspected cult leader, whose followers worshipped corpses and consumed bodily fluids in an attempt to cure illnesses.

Police found 11 corpses inside the secret forest encampment, allegedly the bodies of former followers of Mr Thawee, who was later charged with illegally transporting corpses.

The group by day interaction was significant (p=.01) for the absolute AA values as well. Six of the experimental days involved the testing of two subjects rather than one. To determine if this slight modification in procedure may have altered the geomagnetic contribution to the psi effect, additional analyses were completed on those days (cases) where only one subject was tested. The basic results are shown in Figure 2. There was no appreciable change in the geomagnetic temporal pattern and the significant day by group interactions were not affected. It's interesting to watch the world-wide meltdown and responses to Mr. Trump's re-election, and one of these I think might  - and I stress, might - be taking place in Germany. That country, it seems, has established it's own space command, according to this story from 2021 shared by M.D. As the article makes clear, Germany is certainly not alone in doing so, following the USA and France, and one must assume similar command structures in China, Japan, and Russia. The real question for me is why Germany is doing this. The article outlines the usual reasons, but also, to my mind, hints at something else:

Germany establishes new military space command

What I find intriguing about all these European powers' space commands is the curious fact that with all the Europhoria surrounding NATO and the EU, one would think that some sort of integrated command structure would be in the offing. One may certainly assume that is the goal, and that such cooperative arrangements already are in place for the various major European powers to share space information. Nonetheless, the space commands remain separate, and now Germany has joined the club, spinning off space matters from the command structure of the Luftwaffe.  So why does Germany want a space command?

The article lists the usual reasons:

The rest of the article is pretty much the standard boilerplate of reasons for the command:

Berlin is not alone in its efforts to create a separate military space entity. The U.S. Space Force was established in late 2019 as a separate military branch under the Department of the Air Force, and now boasts a separate budget line from the Air Force and its own representation on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, with Chief of Space Operations Gen. Jay Raymond. While initial Space Force personnel were transferred in from space-related units within the Air Force, the nascent service will soon welcome its first — and soon to be former — Marines, soldiers and sailors.

So there you have it: Germany is establishing its space command to protect crucial space assets that are necessary to the functioning of the German state. In other words, the reasons given are exactly the same reasons given by every other power expanding their military presence in space: the military is needed to protect the space lanes just like navies are needed to protect the sea lanes.

But I suggest that the first statement in the article gives away much deeper motivations, motivations that in Germany's case make a great deal of sense, especially given the economic setbacks the country has experienced in the wake of America's sanctions war against Russia, its attack on the Nordstream pipeline, and so on: the Germany economy is suffering, and as everyone knows, the German economy is the locomotive of Europe. To paraphrase a statement usually applied to the USA, when the German economy gets a cold, the rest of Europe gets pneumonia and the flu. It's that first quoted line from the article that has me thinking along a very different line of high octane speculation. Here it is once again:

Note that this is actually an official statement of the German Defense Ministry. and one of the reasons listed for the establishment of the space command is to ensure "the prosperity of our population." For a country with an export-driven economy that is being crippled by the American sanctions regime against Russia, and therefore with a large heavy industry manufacturing base, if that nation wants to protect and preserve that heavy industrial base, it must find some way to do so. In Germany's case, it has been government policy since the end of the Second World War to keep its heavy industry, tool and die industry, and manufacture capability within German territory. This has been done by a variety of measures including subsidies. More typically, nations resort to tariffs to protect their industrial plant and manufacturing, as indeed we're hearing from the incoming Trump administration.

But in Germany's case, this route is not really feasible. The second route available to preserve a heavy industrial plant is also well known, and I submit that this may be what we're looking at here: massive military spending. In this case, space affords an opportunity for all sorts of spending to stimulate the economy and put those heavy industries to work. It provides a way for Germany to say to the USA "Look, we're doing our part; we're contributing to the defense of space assets. We're anticipating threats and being proactive in response." And so on. And the other geopolitical reality is also I work: the American empire is rapidly fraying at the edges, and cannot continue forever, and this is apparent to everyone, particularly to everyone in the capitals of America's allies: London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo...and Berlin. The bottom line is, no matter what sorts of pressure Mr. Trump may put on Europe to "do its fair share" in its own defense, the European powers are going to have to do that anyway, and the first and most vital priority is space.  Germany established this command in 2021... but now has even more pressing economic reasons to "beef things up".


It's this combination of (1) economic circumstance and opportunity and (2) geopolitical reality that is at work here behind all the standard boilerplate in 2021, imagine it now. Have you noticed that there has been a lot of talk about “peace” and “safety” recently? After all of the war that we have witnessed in 2024, I would love for 2025 to be a year of global peace. But right now global events are taking us in the other direction very rapidly. An apocalyptic global war is on our doorstep, but most people in the western world are still in denial about what is happening right in front of our eyes.

 
On Thursday, the head of the Iranian Army warned that his nation will soon deliver a “crushing” blow to Israel…

In a Thursday meeting with family members of Major Sajjad Mansouri – who was reportedly killed during the Oct. 26 Israeli strikes – Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi promised a “crushing” blow to Israel.

“We will determine the time and manner of our response. There will be no hesitation when the time comes, and our reply will surely be crushing,” he said according to Tehran-based news outlet Iran Front Page News, echoing threats issued by Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier this month when he said Tehran would issue a “crushing response.”

Similarly, Deputy Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Ali Fadavi on Thursday said, “The entire world will bear witness as the complete downfall of the Zionist regime fulfills the triumph of righteousness over falsehood.”

Of course Israel has already promised that it will respond to any attack by hitting Iran even harder than it did last time.

In fact, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is suggesting that Iran’s oil fields could be a target…

Israel’s defense minister wants to go a step further. He is publicly suggesting that now is the time to wipe out Iran’s nuclear facilities…

News outlet Medya Ege reported Erdogan to have said, “We, as the State and Government of the Republic of Turkey, have cut off relations with Israel. We do not have any relationship with Israel at this point. Period.”

This is such a dangerous time.

Donald Trump will not take office for more than two months, and nobody in the Middle East really cares what the lame duck Biden administration has to say at this point.

In Ukraine, Russian forces just launched a very large missile attack against the capital city of Kyiv…

Speaking of the Russians, it is being reported that 12,000 North Korean troops are now assisting the Russian Army as it attempts to retake the Kursk region…

It was revealed last month that 12,000 North Korean troops had been sent to Ukraine to fight on behalf of Russia. Now, they are reported to have been deployed to Kursk as part of the Russian counter-offensive, while Pyongyang this week ratified a landmark new defence pact with Moscow.

The North Koreans also just tested a nuclear missile that has enough range to reach the continental United States, and they continue to threaten to invade South Korea.

We will want to watch North Korea very carefully in the months ahead.

We will also want to watch the situation in Taiwan. Apparently, the Taiwanese government is interested in a “massive $15 billion military weapons deal” once Trump’s term begins…

Taiwanese defense has been brought to the forefront of the world stage amid heightened tensions with China, whose government denies Taiwan’s independence and wants to annex the island nation through war if necessary.

Citing anonymous Taiwanese official sources, the FT said Taipei’s inquiries about a defense deal include interest in procuring the Aegis destroyer, and possibly 60 F-35s, four Advanced Hawkeyes, 10 retired vessels and 400 Patriot missiles.

Needless to say, the Chinese would be absolutely furious if such a deal actually happens.

Our relations with China have been going downhill for quite a while now, and it appears that the incoming administration will have “China hawks” in quite a few key positions…

President-elect Donald Trump has apparently decided to appoint China hawks Marco Rubio and Mike Waltz to the positions of secretary of state and national security adviser respectively.

In addition, Fox News host Pete Hegseth – who once said “China is building an army to defeat America” to the post of defence secretary, while John Ratcliffe is set to be CIA chief. Ratcliffe has called China the top threat to American interests.

This could offer the clearest indication yet of Trump’s intent when it comes to China and Taiwan. While the presidential election winner has called out Taiwan for what he sees as stealing US jobs in the past, chances are he knows the US will have to come to the island democracy’s defence should Beijing invade or blockade.

For a very long time, I have been relentlessly warning my readers about an apocalyptic war with Russia, an apocalyptic war with China, and an apocalyptic war in the Middle East.

Two of those wars have already started, and I believe that it won’t be too long before the third one erupts.

Ultimately, historians will probably regard all of these wars as part of one gigantic global war.

We are the World War III generation, and most people out there won’t even realize what is happening until it is too late to do anything about it.

I have a suspicion that we will see some nuclear detonation in the near future. Someone, somewhere, sometime soon will strike with nuclear weapons. Before the first of this year. That is my prediction. Unnerving, I know.

I'm just glad I know the Lord. Even with the thought of all of this, I am at peace within. May God's will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.

If someone were to come along and bring world peace from all of this, I would really wonder what that person was.
