First you should work entirely outside of the organized UFO groups; they are infiltrated by the same official agencies they are trying to influence, and they propagate any rumor anyone wants to have circulated. In Intelligence circles, people like that are historical necessities. When you’ve worked long enough for Uncle Sam, you know he is involved in a lot of strange things. The data these groups get are biased at the source, but they play a useful role. “Second, you should look for the irrational, the bizarre, the elements that do not fit: that’s what I have come to observe at this meeting tonight. Have you ever felt that you were getting close to something that didn’t seem to fit any rational pattern, yet gave you a strong impression that it was significant?”

They take lie detector tests and pass them: Betty Hill in Portsmouth, Charlie Hickson in Pascagoula, Travis Walton in Arizona. We are asked to accept this “scientific evidence.” We enter a hospital room in Anaheim, California. A young woman is speaking slowly in a hypnotic trance. She recalls an amazing experience:

I’m lying on one of those tables. Uh – that one that was closest to me still seems to be the one that’s in charge of things. Uh – my heart is beating really fast because I’m really scared, even though he has communicated to me not to be afraid.

The hypnotist, a medical doctor with long clinical experience, gently urges her on.

Got…one of those machines for taking the blood. It’s like a needle on the long end of one of those tubes. So, it’s just – took it out real quick. Almost like a vacuum. And…his fingers are kind of cold and clammy.

Another piece of data for the extraterrestrial file? Guess again. This young woman is a subject who has never seen a UFO. She demonstrates that the “abduction” experience is a constant that hypnosis can trigger in almost anybody.

I have been skeptical on the effects of the tones on meditation for a while and I have done the Monroe tapes.

Basically the idea is that these frequencies syncs brain hemispheres and gives you super powers during and after meditation. The main issue for me is that meditation is as old as time including synching brain hemispheres and so is whatever psychic abilities. 

Personally I'm of the opinion lifestyle and knowledge is where the magic is but regardless lets do some experiments.

Put differently, “Team America” is back!

The question is what happens next? How will Washington consolidate its latest victory over Maduro and his regime? The plan seems murky if non-existent.

Presumably, Maduro will be tried and convicted in a U.S. court for drug-related crimes. Meanwhile Trump said Saturday that the U.S. will “take over” during the transition. Can Washington actually set up a new political order that will prevent Venezuela from sliding into civil war, or, more important, from hosting future drug-fueled violence?

President Trump said that opposition leader Maria Machado lacks the political strength to govern Venezuela. So who does that leave? Is there a CIA-preferred comprador for the job, or will Secretary of State Marco Rubio simply govern as an American Viceroy? In any case, can anyone — Venezuelan or American — govern the country without heavy reliance on U.S. Military power?

Meanwhile American firms and corporations are chomping at the bit to move into Venezuela to extract its oil. In addition to the world’s largest reserves (the oil infrastructure is decaying and it will take a long time to rebuild), Venezuela is massively endowed with gold and one of the largest iron ore deposits in the Western Hemisphere. To these must be added significant reserves of natural gas, bauxite, nickel and some rare earths. No doubt the exploitation of these mineral resources will be seen as vital if the current intervention is to avoid the usual catastrophic costs associated with military intervention.

But will Washington now provide a lucrative economic package to lift Venezuela out of poverty and chaos? Will it be at American taxpayers' expense? Shipments of Venezuelan heavy crude constitute most of the Venezuelan economy. Venezuela is in the top 5 exporters of heavy crude, but by total volume, Venezuela barely cracks the top 20.

Protests from Moscow and Beijing notwithstanding, neither the Russians nor Chinese will directly interfere with events in the Caribbean Basin. The fact that Maduro was meeting with Chinese officials just 24 hours before he was captured is no doubt deeply disconcerting to Beijing. China might accelerate its liquidation of American debt with uncertain consequences for the American bond market. But Russian and Chinese leaders will not repeat Western stupidity in Ukraine and challenge American military power on its doorstep. The home court strategic advantage is undeniable.

Whatever happens next, the short-term impact of Maduro’s capture conveniently distracts from the Trump administration’s failed attempts to end the war in Ukraine on terms that might benefit Washington and its allies. In fact, the Trump administration is likely to quietly disengage from these efforts while Moscow turns its attention entirely to ending the war in Ukraine on its own terms.

Meanwhile, the ceasefire Trump brokered with a flourish earlier this year has not halted the destruction of life in Gaza. In the background, Iran’s missile factories are humming again having recovered from the 12-day war in June 2025. U.S. and Israeli strikes have set back Iran's nuclear ambitions but Israel won’t soon forget Iran’s ability to hit back with counterstrikes on Israeli soil. Not surprisingly Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu now pushes for fresh strikes before Iranian silos swell to 1,000 warheads a year, enough to overwhelm U.S. and Israeli air and missile defenses.

President Trump warns there will be “hell to pay” if Iran rebuilds. The president who promised to “end forever wars” now advocates for the next Middle East war, too.

At home, progress in a range of critical areas from living standards and educational performance to high-tech manufacturing is slow to non-existent. Inflated expectations of faster productivity growth through artificial intelligence are flagging. There is no evidence for any interest in breaking up overgrown, monopolistic media and IT corporations, or stopping mergers aimed at shaping narratives and suppressing free speech.

Still, Americans should cheer up. Congratulations from Trump’s Wall Street donors on the ostensible victory in Caracas are pouring in. The purportedly numerous Hamas and Hezbollah training camps that threaten Israeli national security will now vanish like the morning mist hanging over Venezuela’s jungles. Team America is back!

Leaders of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a private agency that has steered federal funding to PBS, NPR and hundreds of public television and radio stations across the country, voted Monday to dissolve the organization that was created in 1967.

CPB had been winding down since Congress acted last summer to defund its operations at the encouragement of President Donald Trump. Its board of directors chose Monday to shutter CPB completely instead of keeping it in existence as a shell.

Let's see what happens to all those PBS broadcast stations. Maybe they will be just like the rest of them with shop-at-home programs or reruns of old movies and TV shows that include westerns (all of them), Home Improvement, Gilligan's Island, Mr Ed, etc.

I really don’t understand why folks are so shocked by the graft and corruption in Minnesota’s welfare programs. Even in scale it hardly rises to “interesting,” when compared to the Big Picture.

If you begin with the premise that an organization can grant itself the power to steal your money at gunpoint, convince you it’s legitimate, and make any public accounting of those funds as opaque as possible, then we can only conclude that all governments everywhere and at all times are nothing more than criminal rackets. If that is the foundation, then anything that organization does is corrupt and depraved.

So the US, with the UN’s blessing, invaded Somalia on the premise that corruption was preventing “aid” from reaching the little people. This was essentially sending Al Capone to arrest Lucky Luciano.

After the US made a complete wreck of Somalia (it was only a partial wreck before), Uncle Sugar imported thousands of “refugees,” who for some unexplainable reason, settled in Maine, Minnesota and Ohio. Naturally, these folks formed a ghetto like all other immigrant groups who’ve come to the US (see New York City). They maintained their language and customs, elected their folks to city, county, state, and national office, and quickly learned that the US is a level of corruption that makes the rest of the world look like a two-bit street hustler.

The Somali story in Minnesota is a microcosm of the larger system. Dozens of phony NGOs are set up, piles of grants and “aid” are poured in, the money is distributed with everyone involved getting a taste. Substitute military contractors, large-scale public works, “educational” organizations — any government-supported collective — for NGOs, and it’s the same game. It’s been going on since Hammurabi licensed beer breweries.

Deep down inside, do we really believe that the billions and billions shovelled into the Ukraine actually went into the national economy? Are we sure all those weapons weren’t just sold on the black market, with the proceeds being divvied up among the grifters? How about the $45 billion worth of gear abandoned in Afghanistan? No profit sharing scheme there? If SpaceX can build a Super Heavy booster and Starship for $90 million (the largest, most powerful rocket ever), does it really cost $1.1 billion for a Patriot missile battery?

Governments are essentially legalized mobs. They stake out territories and specialize in certain “goods and services”. They set up cut-outs that look legitimate on the surface, but are just window dressing, having almost nothing to do with operations behind the scenes.

There is a relevant case study in the Houston Police Department. A number of years ago, they put out an internal directive defining “gangs” and how to spot them:

• Gang-related tattoos, symbols or graffiti that match known identifiers linked to criminal street gangs.
  
• Hand signs, colors or clothing worn consistently to show affiliation.
  
• Associating with known gang members in documented gang crimes or being arrested with them for offences consistent with gang activity.
  
• Frequenting documented gang areas (territory recognised by law enforcement).
  
• Recruiting others, including online or via technology.
  

This essentially describes the police and law enforcement. The only significant difference is that government agencies claim legitimacy for themselves and exclude all others. Government is a protection racket:

Threat → Offer of Protection → Payment → Enforcement → Legitimacy (Real or Fake)

The Somalis were forcefully removed to the US because of a mess the US caused and/or exacerbated. The states of Minnesota, Ohio and Maine lobbied to take the “immigrants” as cheap (read slave) labor on behalf of corporate interests. The governments (state and federal) used the Somalis in a money laundering scheme. The Somalis were set up with cut-out corporations and billions of dollars were funnelled to them from the taxpayers. Those dollars were then filtered out to various NGOs and politicians as “donations” or other innocuous transfers. In keeping with a protection racket, the government (after getting caught) stepped up to “enforce” the law.

Create the problem, offer the solution, the guilty walk away rich. Classic Hegelian Dialectic. If taxpayers get too nosy or insistent, whip out the race card.

Maybe it’s just me, but this operation is so transparent as to be ridiculous, and perhaps that’s a defense mechanism. It’s so obvious that it can’t possibly be true. And the Somalis are just one tiny piece of the entire operation, which has (to date) stolen some $34 trillion from US taxpayers. All those borrowed dollars have nothing to do with offering the “legitimate” government services and payroll.

The Somali scandal might result in a few high-profile arrests and perp walks. It might even get a sitting member of CONgress defrocked and deported, but I doubt it. However, the politicians and corporations who benefited from this scam will never be called out. They never are.

And business will go one as usual. Government will continue to scam taxpayers using an infinite number of variations on a theme, and taxpayers will continue to be shocked for about five news cycles before moving on to the next Big Thing.

There’s a reason I haven’t voted since 1992 — (coincidentally?) the year the US filmed its Somali “invasion”. I realized then that the entire thing was a mob operation and I wasn’t going to participate in my own captivity. It’s amazing to think that the seeds of a scandal in 2025, were planted in 1992, and no one saw it until now. I can only ascribe that to willful ignorance — if you refuse to acknowledge a problem exists, then you shirk the moral obligation to take action.

As Linda Ellerbee liked to say, “And so it goes.”

Today’s cinematic fare is a bit on the nose, but relevant at so many levels: Wag the Dog (1997). Based on the novel American Hero by Larry Beinhart, this Barry Levinson flick throws some high-powered stars at the issue of government creating problems to justify its existence. When the film came out, I was working in broadcast news during Desert Storm, and I experienced the story happening in real life. I saw the film more as a documentary than a comedy. Worth revisiting.

A New "Reconstructed" Venezuela, destroyed by socialist dictators, rebuilt and secured under the control of the United States, will be a land of opportunity.

They have abundant natural resources, with oil and gold aplenty. Not to mention that Venezuela possesses significant untapped reserves of rare earth metals.

Now, I'm not suggesting we all go down there and do some carpetbagging (OK, maybe I am), but they need almost everything you could think of and more. This will be boom times down there, and it will be taken advantage of. The question is exactly how to do that without a huge investment of time and money.

Find out which oil companies are going down there and invest in them. Same with any other company that intends to fill the void and occupy the opening niches. It could be food and agriculture as much as mining and oil operations.

I'd like to see some ideas from the Rogues, I think this could make a lot of people some big money when the US fully takes over and it is safe to do business.

Hell, let's all brush up on our Spanish and get down there, it might end up better than what is happening up here. Might be the place to go retire.
