Okay, so this thread piqued my interest, so I tried to enter the site. However, it states error, access denied? So, when one makes their first visit, is there a means of creating a user name and password? Usually sites (such as this one_) has button to click to enter registering. Can someone guide me as to how to create an account?

I took this as they wanted to make an account on the Deny Ignorance site.

If Im not mistaken, they are no longer accepting new members

Freija, Thank you for your response. I was actually referring to not being able to enter Deny Ignorance, which putnam6 let us know that DI is no longer accepting new members. No worries, but I am glad to be a new member here and it takes the sting off a bit that ATS bit the dust. Would it be okay if I started a thread requesting the background story on just why ATS did not survive? I have always been very curious about that.

In my browser that has a login cookie, I can still see everything and new posts are still being made.

In my browser that doesn't have saved credentials and doesn't auto login, I get this:

On a serious note, after what happened to him, myself and a few others over at DI, I can't say I'm sorry to see it sink. It would be great if it could be under new management. (because the current one is the problem) But if it doesn't? Cool

Perhaps the owner wouldn't pass or sell the site on because he and his family apparently got doxxed via the site. It would create unneccessary grief if a new owner suffered the same fate and maybe not worth the risk for the current/ex owner.

Let it be and just walk away. A bold move and to be honest, not one of a coward because of a final explanation on the site to the members.

Personally, I had an OK time there, but my overwhelming feeling about the site is that like ATS it was a site that couldn't be left alone regarding functionality, appearance and whistles and bells. For the amount of members, it should have ticked over a little before trying to rev up the bits and pieces.

Kinda why I now enjoy the simplicity of something that isn't broke and obviously enjoys a better existing Momentum and Potential.

I stopped going there about a month ago when I posted a thread and the title turned to all ?????? and then about half of the words in the thread did too. I'm assuming they were words that were not allowed at DI so I said "enough is enough".

It wasn't even that conspirital of a thread, but after all that typing and work I said secrew it and left.

Yeah, I'm also at cypherage.com. I tried to put that in a comment I made on DI, and the site owner got his panties in a wad. Blocked it out, closed the thread I commented on and threatened bans.
