I was never bullied as a kid so I have zero personal experience in that area.
I guess you were blessed not have been bullied as a child.
I think I was blessed to have been bullied, because it taught me how to take care of myself. God knew I was going to need that skill later in life.
On one hand I was due to my Family's connections & influence. On the other hand like you eluded to I missed some survival skills...ended up learning much later in life.
