My pet "theory" is that we are now too interconnected with too many sources of information that play little real role in our lives, yet the information from them is presented to us as if it is so very important.
I've often considered pulling the plug on the internet for a while to see if my personal outlook improves; haven't done so yet for various reasons.
Bottom line is there is a lot of negativity being thrown at us from electronic sources.
Cheers
I go for days without looking at the internet or television at times. I'm not hopeless or anything- I just don't care. The only things I care about are personal to me like family and friends but as for anything else it wouldn't bother me a bit if an asteroid came out of left field and took out the whole show. As a society we are screwed and it would take something severely and literally earth shattering to change course at this point.
As an American it's your responsibility to have your own strategic duck stockpile. You can't expect the government to do it for you.
