I hate to be that guy but my world is as good as it gets as far as life goes. My biggest consternation is why I did not play better at a golf outing...no kidding... One of my caddies just called as she was being hauled off to the police station for tax evasion. She had just opened a small market at her home and did not file a tax form.. If you are selling food there is no tax but evidently she ordered something via the internet for resale.. STUPID!.. Well they captured her and she is being threatened with Thai jail time...Thai jail time is worse than most things you can imagine. A life sentence used to be anything over 5 to 7 years as most did not live longer...it is better now but still .... Most things here can be settled with tea money (money in the pocket of the cop to make a problem go away.... I love this place !! )
The caddie has a young boy (maybe 6+) and a hard working husband but as most people they live from hand to mouth without extra money for anything.
Anyway 20,000 baht and she is free to screw up again. She will pay me back @ 2000 baht a month.. Supposedly... I never loan and expect to be paid back...if paid back a pleasant surprise.
Very few people other than family knows someone's name as everyone uses a nickname. Sapawn Pac Dee for a first name ends up being Joy or Nit or Dang as a nickname. I am known as ATM !!1 hahahah
I love your post - it makes me smile.
Have the grandkids and kids all here visiting, that makes me REALLY smile. I forgot to take medicine on time last night and had to lay down for a while (pain), but with the kids running around playing and laughing and having a great time I couldn't stop smiling even laying down... It's just so wonderful having a full house again.
This is why we limit exposure to outside influences. Because life itself is still pretty good, you just have to get offline to see it.
