Personally, I'd dig it up and re-bury it elsewhere, somewhere I could keep an eye on... probably several different somewheres, smaller stashes. Then I'd sell it out a few coins at a time, different places - coin shops, pawn shops, etc, but never enough to get on the radar. Just a few grand a year. I'm a simple man with simple tastes, so I don't need a crap ton of flashy stuff to be bought with it, anyhow. Even if I had to sell it at melt value, that'd be enough to keep me happy.
My first wife's great grand dad buried what was then about 30k worth of gold coins up a holler here. Then he died, and never told where it was buried. A lot of folks have tried to find it over the years, but so far, no one has...

Amen to that... Managing an extra couple hundred a month is all anyone usually actually needs anyway to give one a little more cushion in life, which is all most really need anyway. People who want to retire on an Island full of greedy hookers are pretty darn shallow.
Besides, keep hearing that in a shtf scenario stuff like that makes a nice retirement plan - people will always rebuild society and monetary systems. End up a king someday, for those with aspirations... Lol. Right time, right place is all it takes.
