Discussion of UFOs is filled with misplaced assumptions.
Take the skeptic's favorite question,
Two assumptions therein. One is the assumption that they're from other star systems (we don't know that); and two, the assumption that they were in control of their ship when it crashed (we don't know that).
Maybe those ships are out of control when they emerge into our universe. Maybe the technologies they use are unstable or randomly exhibit unpredictable effects.
We don't know that. We just don't know, except that there are a lot of reports of high strangeness.
