The pollen can also be used as a thickener in stews. Use the pollen as a fire starter as it is very flammable.
Make a pillow by using an old shirt, by tying the sleeves together and stuffing with the cattail pollen.
I will admit, I have zero plans on foraging as I am a food prepper but I do have a few similar books on my shelf
