Did Dorgan have so much power over the family that he forced the whole damned bunch to take his name when he married into it, or what?

He probably took her last name when they were married. Some "men" do. I have no idea why. I've seen women who Will Not take their husband's last name or let their children use his last name. Why is God's name anyone would marry someone like that is a mystery to me.
