I don't have a problem with them banning porn on the internet in Michigan. Especially since if you click on a porn site, it just asks you if you are over eighteen and gives you options of choosing from some porn catagories for free viewing. Kids can easily view porn, young kids are curious, and someone who is not even yet in their teens can get access to those films. I know lots of kids that can hack into parental controls probably way faster than us older people can. Adults usually write passwords down somewhere, this is relevant with parental controls too, and since we have to bypass parental controls to view some not so bad shows, kids watch what we are doing as we do it. They know where we store our passwords. Even an eight year old is smart enough to comprehend and learn how to do that.
Parental filters are easily hacked, and if kids watch that stuff, they might be more apt to be swept up by pedophiles. It becomes normal to them at too young of an age
So, even though I do not like censorship, lately I have seen so much abuse of everything by twisting things out of concept, I am starting to think we may need to start making truth and reason-ability part of our system. People are tricking us to believe in their distorted thinking or beliefs. I grew up going to sunday school and church, and maybe I am not religious anymore, but lots of the concepts I was taught about telling the whole and real truth are part of my life. Sure, anyone can get deceived, but I try not to parrot things without verifying if they are mostly true, and lately, do not believe in the interpretations of scientific evidence they are trying to persuade us into believing...especially in the medical and health fields...in fields where money is made if they parrot misinterpreted scientific evidence.
