All things reach the inevitable end of cycle, ATS included. Met my husband there, made good friends who have stood the test of time. Fond memories still remain but in all honesty the cliquishness was worse than junior high school and I hadn't been there in ages.
As an American it's your responsibility to have your own strategic duck stockpile. You can't expect the government to do it for you.
