When it was believed he had died, armed resistance in the Reich disappeared almost immediately. The oath was no longer binding and the spell had been broken.
But then, a few days before, the U.S. Army had captured the Spear of Destiny when Nuremberg fell. Legend has it that when the holder of the Spear will suffer disaster if he loses possession of it ...
