Quite a few nations draft their women too nowadays, and send them off to war whenever a war is thrown and their country is invited. Israel is one of those countries. I reckon the US could follow their lead and send their women off to fight, too. I can tell you first hand that there is nothing on a battlefield so vicious as a woman. Scares the hell out of me just thinking about it. They are vindictive, vicious, and non-stop when it come to war, and they take no prisoners. Far more so than the average man.
On the other hand, I think most American males have not faced that, much less have they come to terms with it. Therefore, in the event of women on the battlefield, i think "chivalry" would kick into the psyches of most American males, and they'd needlessly be trying to "protect" fighting women who really need no extra protection, and that circumstance would cause them to look after themselves less and the wimmens more, and that would cost perfectly usable lives.
So, in reality, No - I don't agree with a draft for anyone, not even feminazis. It's a terrifying thought.
the way it is now is just fine with me, sign up for the draft and wait and see if it will be needed. cause there may come a time
when all volunteer ain't gonna cut it. hell russia is a prime example and they have / had a draft when it started.
then if it comes down to it then i think that what ever the requirements for males should apply to females. no raising or lowering them, everybody that's gonna be in the shit has to be able to meet the same standards. those that don't, male and female should kept and placed in admin (beans bandages) logistics, intel, motor t, medical or what have you, away form the shooting to free up those that did meet the requirements to go to the front be them male or female.
and your right, about the chivalry part, but there are some karens that couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper sack especially hand to hand, and those that can handle themselves fairly well might not be up to taking someone twice their size and 75 pounds heavier, it's even hard for a male to do that when their opponent is bigger, heavier, and stronger.
and yeah war is a terrifying thought, but it's best to be prepared and not need them, than not be and not have them ready.
