@"VioletDove"#12 and @"BIAD"#7 with their postings to the Shoutbox made me to decide to post what happened to me.
I truly believe in divine intervention, and me of all people should know better than to ignore a warning, especially if it makes no sense. A lot of weird stuff is going on right now. I will share my recent experience to encourage you to always go with your gut.
I drove my Mother over to my Brother's house last night. He cooks dinner for us every night, and insists that we eat with him, because his family wastes too much food, because they don't like left overs. We eat at his house, take home the leftovers, and play several games of Rummikub, because my Mom loves Rummikub, and she is convinced that it is what keeps her mind sharp.
sShe might be right, because her mind is sharper than all of us at 90 years old. Any way. When I was leaving I started backing up to get out of the driveway. My Mom asked me why I was backing up. I told her so I could turn the car around. She asked me why I didn't just go around the circle like always. I told her that I didn't know why, but I just had a sense of foreboding. I felt like something or someone was telling me not to take the circle, but to turn around. Mom said, the circle was the easiest way and that is the way we go every night. So I didn't follow my gut and went around the circle.
I live less than a mile from my Brother's house, and before I got to my driveway, I knew something was wrong. By the time I drove into my driveway the tire pressure light was on. By the time I got to the house it was obvious that the tire was flat.
I tried to put air in the tire, but it was coming out as fast as I was pumping it in. Closer inspection showed a nail had entered on the bottom and exited on the side. My spidey sense told me not to drive around that circle. I "knew" it was going to happen. My Mom apologized to me for encouraging me to ignore my spidey senses, but I can't blame her. I am the one that should have known better.
Such a simple and silly thing. So why an I sharing it? Because bigger and badder things are coming. Make sure your oil lamps are full. Have a couple of extras to barter with and to share. Listen to your gut, and show pure gratitude for all those divine interventions, no matter how small they may seem.
