How much vitamin D you take ?, many are taking too low doses . Also taking D , A and K vitamins same time gives synergy boost . ( avoid synthetic vitamin A ) I am taking now 300mcg Vit D plant-based source of Vitamin D3 from lichens
Taurine is anti aging .
Vitamin C should be the original real C and not the synthetic isolates ( i prefer acerola cherry powder )
Yes, I've been hearing and seeing a lot of discussion on Vit. D and its benefits. Don't you have to combine Vit. D with a Calcium supplement for proper absorption by the body?
I take Vit. D, C and Potassium off and on but we eat very healthy. Because in the back of my mind, I think that I may be fooling myself into thinking I am getting what is needed from a combined raw vegetable, nut, feta cheese and seed salads (sort of a mediterranean salad on steroids) when the land these foods are grown on are devoid of the right kind of nutrients for plant uptake.
The exercise part is challenging, what with some issues slowing me down physically, but I try to incorporate deep breathing and stretching, with the occasional wall push up. However, come Spring I will be out gardening, which invigorates my love of nature and my body and soul.
I suppose I am more interested in not lengthening my life, but getting back to an acceptable level of what will allow me to continue to do what I love to do and I'm not sure that food and exercise holds all the keys to achieve that.
That is why I subscribe to longevity and aging science information in my feeds because who knows when the fountain of youth secrets will be revealed, without side effects.
For your consideration, here's another take on aging from Neil De Grasse Tyson and Chuck Nice, who have some nuggets of truth when it comes to accepting the realities of aging. We can't turn back the hands of time but we can grow in new ways going forward.
I think taking calcium as supplement is bad idea ,even dangerous and not needed . taking some cheese or yugurt gives calcium . Vitamin k complex helps avoid situation where too much calcium end up wrong places .
I think optimal is to take A. D and K same time with fat
Vitamins A and D complement each other
Genes may be part of the aging, problem is that toxicity can switch genes 1/2 position ....so the issue is complex and not allways visible to surface . One may have toxicitys in body where genes are switched to worse position , epigenetics switch the on / off and body behaves then less optmal -
