Personally, I think there won't be a better time to make something happen than the day they de-dollarize the United States. Too bad the one guy we probably could've gleaned some good information about that didn't stick around here and chat with us.

I've no doubt we're going to see exactly that: A socialist dicktater.

A dictatorship historically follows a failed democracy. Our Republic failed when the people who crave power were allowed to (got away with) calling it a Democracy. People hear things enough and they DO start to believe them.

Eventually ... the dictatorship will be overthrown and either a King will emerge or a new Constitution will be written. I won't be around for that. But ... if ... a new Constitution is written, it is my hope that a scholar will describe the way the United States was undermined and destroyed before quill is placed to parchment.

The new Constitution needs to describe how Government entities and powerful Interests will be immediately charged for any perceived effort to undermine the _individual_ citizens' rights. That in such case a trial will be held within a week of indictment ... and punishment will be carried out in the light of day and open to viewing (and hopefully participation) of the general public.

That event in Richmond almost turned out the way it should've, but there were just the right amount of influencers shouting down the gung-ho and calling them Feds (even when they obviously weren't).

There were ten frikkin' divisions of kitted-out light infantry at that rally. They could've slaughtered every paid employee of the Virginia Government and marched on (and taken out) Washington D.C. (including the Pentagon).  No one could've stopped 'em.

Sounds horrible, but in a month no one would give a fuck.

I'm ready. I'm not gonna wait 'til they come for me though. First Leader who emerges I'm going to rally behind. The BAD is coming for all of us. Some will do the guerrilla warfare thing and they'll ultimately win. But, there needs to be guys like me that bloody their fucking noses and let 'em know they've got a bad fight on their hands ... and that prices will be paid on BOTH sides of the line.

Funny thing about using nukes - if you use them to deny territory to your opponent, you also deny that same territory to yourself, for the same duration. No one gets to hold any of that territory. Nukes work in an area denial campaign, but it denies the area to EVERYONE. Not so good to hold territory, though.

Personally, I think he was just puffing out his chest, and wouldn't really nuke US areas at all, for the above reason. He was running a bluff, and a bad one, just to try and shake folks up and put 'em off balance.

F-15's on the other hand, I could see him using them... but, luckily, they have far more effective countermeasures than are available with nukes.

"Holding territory" is the gummint's end of a guerrilla conflict. The gummint has to hold turf to deny it to the guerrillas while showing themselves able to make use of it, but the guerillas don't have to hold any turf - holding turf is counterproductive for them, not their goal at all.

The guerrilla's game plan, especially in the beginning, is H+I - Harassment and Interdiction - of gummint personnel, supplies, and equipment... then they jump back into the shadows and move on to the next "holding" target, without trying to hold territory of their own. That way, they are not a sitting duck target, while gummint folks have to be.

So, the guerrillas overrun a gummint base or flash a supply convoy, take what they can use and burn the rest down (to deny it to their opponents), and move on.

While the US did not invent guerrilla warfare, they HAVE perfected it in certain military groups... and some of those folks have moved onward from the military, without leaving what they've learned behind. Those folks can present a real thorn in the sides of TPTB when they try to run their end game.
