Rogue-nation attacked. What is going on?

Hey, gang.
I tried to log in about 8pm and it would pull up the site, but when I would try and log in I got the MyBB error prompt again. Same as last time.

My phone even did something really weird during one attempt to log in.

I tried several times, in different ways to access the site. I think it was about 30 mins that i couldn't get in.

Anyone else experience this? Tues 8:00-8:40pm est

I was finally able to get on the site again.
R3 was down as well. Everything pretty much looked the same as last time. I'm keeping this log of what's been going on.
Attack #2 in 4 days. Site was down 4 hours this time.

These are some questions that have come to my mind. I'm starting this thread so we can discuss what's been going on with these attacks. 

I, myself, wondered if it was time to unplug for a while. 

Can anyone explain what exactly happened here the last couple of days? Are we safe being on these sites anymore?

I just figured it was a DDOS attack, possible not even aimed at RN but at the host site. I mean, all the "too big to fail" banks were FUBAR all weekend (may still be for all I know, I just woke up). We were warned there would be cyber attacks from Iran- I just happen to think they're coming from our own government and they're blaming the "other guys".

Life is starting to feel more and more like having to defend from constant attacks from all sides, it's really getting depressing. 
Constantly having to worry about the next thing that will fail : uncertain food supplies, looming bank crashes, restricted travel, untrust worthy corrupt governments, corrupted medical community and hospitals ,  aims from the government to steal everything you own (property taxes, hoa fees, immiment domain , civil forfeiture , higher more restricting property insurance and on on and on ) , just to name a few. I just want some rest from it all

Same here. This is my only safe haven. The only place I still feel free to express myself. The only place that wasn't corrupted. When this got hit and was taken away, I wigged a bit at the thought of not having this outlet to share and express some of the thoughts and ideas that run through my mind. I posted this originally because I had full confidence of those in charge that they would be on top of it and this place wouldn't go to hell and a hand basket. I'm thankful they got us up and running again as quickly as they did.

ATS goe down on the same day that Byden accounces that he is giving billions to Urkraine and Israel.
Rogue goes down during the Rep debate.

Guess the alleged powers that be don't want people with more than two brain cells discussing anything.

I've done some investigating of my own and came up with a few things I'd like to share, but will have to do it later. I've got to backtrack and find the articles again. Apparently in the UK several (or all of them, i cant rememberthis am) "conspiracy websites" went down the same time frame of all of this with ATS and now RN.

I'll be back later today with everything I found compiled together. 
I also did a little study on DDoS and the SQ error we were getting. 
I'll be interested to hear what Ninurta has to share. Hope he feels better.

There are indications now that some miscalculations were assumed on how much memory we
are using here at Rogue Nation, a factor that would have a bearing on the site functioning and
accessing. But... if this was true, we're here now, so why is that?!!

Secondly -and remember this is only my pint-sized view on the matter, the episode of the other
mentioned website struggling with its recent woes and then this site being disrupted is too-much
of a coincidence for me to personally ignore.

*Dons foil hat* Whether it was a group of wealthy cigar-smoking powerful people discussing the
failure of the red pill and perceiving Rogue Nation as a threat to their control or someone having
the skillset to break into the back-end of our website for unknown purposes, I'm not clever enough
to evaluate.
But the chances of negative-serendipity occurring in the manner it did, doesn't sit well with me.


When brighter minds than my own figure it all out, I'm certain RN members will be brought up
to speed. Meanwhile, we're here and that's what counts.

I want to cry just trying to keep decent meals on the table. Forget gas prices..

I spent 3.32 cents for a small package of fatback and 1.79 for 1 pound of hog jowl bacon - and that was the cheapest they had - you wanted seasoning meat? Your paying fancy hamburger prices - for scrap pork meat that's heavy on fat .

How is anyone supposed to afford even soup now! Pretend like we're in the Great Depression?

We used to be able to throw in a fancy soup a time or two a week to save money at the grocery store. Now there's nothing we can save much money with, all meals are pretty high.

And your right, we are attacked on all sides right now and finding something you can trust and count on is so necessary... And such a peace in a hostile world.

Hubby doesn't think there's any connection simply because we aren't going down for the same causes... He thinks it is just coincidence. 

But who knows really? 

On the one hand it seems pretty darn far fetched that the government - or anyone else for that matter - would care what we're talking about in our cozy little corner of the internet such that they would seek to silence us at key moments, but on the other hand, it's a pretty crazy world these days and our government is acting in ways I would never have imagined.

They fried my computer causing me to buy another. The IT group at Best Buy, told me that it was probably just a bad outlet. They gave me a surge protector.

Two days later I was back with a fried computer. Best Buy was puzzled. The kept it to look at it and gave me a new computer. I brought it back the next day. Fried. 

Best Buy could not find out what was going on. So I went to the library to use their computers. I felt so guilty when less than 30 minutes on their system, the whole thing went down. It took them 3 days to get the system back up.

I stayed off of the forums after that for several years. 

Coincidence? Maybe. But I believe if they want to shut you up, they have a few ways to do just that.

That's no coincidence, that's criminally insane and terrifying. What else would they be able to do so easily? Surely not murder a few nuisances no way , not likely //sarcasm. There's more evil in this world than I want to know , they will stop at nothing as they have no coinciousness , just zero empathy, they are not even human in my eyes.

Different thing. This time, the web host was doing a massive host-wide upgrade which was concentrated on the data center where our server physically lives. Ir was supposed to take 6 hours or so, but took the lion's share of an entire day instead. I reckon they must have encountered some kind of problems with the upgrade. I couldn't even log in to the web host account to lodge a complaint or discover what they were saying.

Last time it was a disk space issue. That got mitigated in a couple of ways, but has not yet been solved. The web host cleared some stuff out and freed up a little space, and I went in to the back end and set the backup frequency lower, but there are still a bunch of backups just sitting there in a folder in the root directory that I can't get into to zap and free up THAT space... and those backups are what is clogging up most of the disk space. They're really unnecessary, as the web host regularly creates their own backups off-disk.

I'm a month overdue for doing my annual full-site backup to local, because there is not enough space on the disk to house the full-site backup until I can get it downloaded to local and deleted from the site server.

Damn 'puters! Weren't they supposed to make life easier?

No. Since it was a modification of their existing infrastructure, it doesn't change any contractual terms already in play.

Cuttingedge.org is a news site I look at daily. Apparently their site went down during the same time frame as we did here at rogue-nation.com. They said the same thing as far as it taking a lot longer than expected.
But also gave a slightly different answer.
This is what they said:

Why was Cutting Edge down all day? This is a special message just to let our readers and supporters know that the company who hosts our web server was moved to a new facility early Sunday morning and the servers were supposed to be back up by Sunday 7AM but technical difficulties still have us down now at 8 pm Sunday night. This was not a hack or take down by the government but is a reminder that that could happen some day. We want to assure you that this is a technical issue and engineers at the hosting company are working to get hundreds of web servers back up and running. All we can do is pray and wait so please join us in prayers for wisdom for those engineers to get everything working again. Thank you for you prayer support.

I was curious if they used the same web server as we do, but was unable to find that answer.

I'm good with noticing patterns, so I'm keeping track of all of this here, so if something nefarious pops up later we'll have a guide here as to the events.

Sorry, but once a rogue always a rogue. I'm not one to just trust authority.
