The lawsuit extensively details the history of incompetence and multiple revocations of firearm privileges for previous dangerous incidents involving [b]Officer Michael Byrd, [/b]the Capitol Police officer who murdered Babbitt in cold blood.

This includes a failure “to meet or complete semiannual firearms qualification requirements,” leaving a “[b]loaded Glock 22—the same firearm he used to shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt – in a bathroom in the Capitol Visitor Center,[/b]” and a shooting into a moving vehicle stolen by teenagers, where the off-duty cop reportedly struck homes nearby with his bullets.

“Lt. Byrd had a reputation among peers for not being a good shot,” the lawsuit alleges.

Kash Patel took to X on Wednesday to announce a major breakthrough in the fight against public corruption.
“Following efforts with our interagency partners, I can report that a career Director level employee at US Customs and Border Protection has been charged with allegedly attempting to defraud FEMA, as well as lying to federal agents,” Patel wrote.
He continued, “This is part of the new FBI’s renewed efforts to crack down on public corruption and deliver accountability for the American people. Justice will be done.”

A career Director-level employee at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has been slapped with federal charges for allegedly scamming the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and lying to federal agents.
Serina Baker-Hill, 55, a Detroit-based CBP bigwig overseeing the Center for Excellence and Expertise over Automotive and Aerospace Engineering, thought she could pull a fast one on hardworking American taxpayers, according to the press release.
According to a freshly unsealed federal complaint, Baker-Hill exploited a federal disaster declaration after floods hit Michigan in August 2023. She applied for FEMA aid, claiming her basement was damaged and that she couldn’t live in her home while repairs were underway.
FEMA, trusting her word, handed over cash for home repairs and two months of rental assistance to cover temporary housing costs.
However, she didn’t use a dime of that money for rent, hotels, or utilities.
Bank records expose her scheme—she pocketed the funds while cozying up in her supposedly “unlivable” home.
Video surveillance even caught her and her husband living there like nothing was wrong, and utility records show no drop-off consistent with an empty house.
When questioned by federal agents from the FBI and CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), Baker-Hill maintained her innocence, asserting she had never committed fraud or any illegal activity against the government.
The FBI’s Detroit Border Corruption Task Force, CBP-OPR, and the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General jointly conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Eaton P. Brown is prosecuting the case.
Officials emphasize that the criminal complaint represents allegations only, and Baker-Hill remains innocent until proven guilty. Upon completion of the investigation, prosecutors will determine whether to pursue felony indictments.

Defense giant Raytheon will pay the U.S government more than $950 million for defrauding the Pentagon and allegedly bribing a Qatari official, the Justice Department announced today.

RTX admitted to “two separate schemes” to defraud the Defense Department in connection with the Patriot missile systems and a radar system, and other defense services, according to a DOJ release.

“These schemes to defraud caused the DOD to pay Raytheon over $111 million more than Raytheon should have been paid on the contracts,” the release said.

RTX will pay the government more than $124 million for bribing a high-level Qatari military official to win defense contracts, and then concealed those payments by falsifying documents, according to an SEC filing.

“Raytheon engaged in criminal schemes to defraud the U.S. government in connection with contracts for critical military systems and to win business through bribery in Qatar,” said Deputy Assistant Attorney General Kevin Driscoll of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “Such corrupt and fraudulent conduct, especially by a publicly traded U.S. defense contractor, erodes public trust and harms the DOD, businesses that play by the rules, and American taxpayers. Today’s resolutions, with criminal and civil recoveries totaling nearly $1 billion, reflect the Criminal Division’s ability to tackle the most significant and complex white-collar cases across multiple subject matters.”

In a statement, RTX said the misconduct occurred “largely prior to 2020” and the financial impact of these matters is consistent with the reserve announced in the company’s July 2024 quarterly earnings report.

“RTX is taking responsibility for the misconduct that occurred. We have worked diligently during the investigations to remediate that misconduct and continue to do so. We are committed to working closely with the incoming independent monitor to improve and further enhance our ethics and compliance program,” the company said.  

The defense contractor also recently was fined $200 million for the unauthorized export of defense technology to China, Russia, Iran, and elsewhere. In July, the company told investors during an earnings call that it set aside more than $1 billion to settle a number of government investigations.

"While this is one of the biggest penalties in recent memory, it is not an isolated incident with defense contractors. For example, earlier this year Lockheed settled a suit for $70 million to resolve overcharging the Navy for parts. Meanwhile, Boeing on the commercial aerospace end of the spectrum paid some $487 million related to 737 MAX certification," said Rich Pettibone of Forecast International, a sister brand of Defense One. “With RTX taking responsibility for the misconduct and paying the penalty, I don't anticipate any curtailment of their work with the Pentagon.”

The public would not have known if not for a courageous surgeon, Eithan Haim, who felt morally obligated to expose the subterfuge. He contacted me about how the hospital had lied about terminating the transgender medicine program, and that doctors were, in fact, continuing to perform sex-change procedures on children as young as 11.


The story rocketed across the world. The hospital immediately went on the defensive. Within a week, Texas legislators passed a bill confirming that transgender medical procedures for minors were illegal.
But the story also attracted attention from another powerful source: federal prosecutors. The Department of Justice has not shied from targeting political opponents of the Biden administration: former President Trump; conservative school board protesters; persons praying outside of abortion clinics; and now, doctors who dissent from transgender ideology.


On the morning in June 2023 that Haim was to graduate from Texas Children Hospital’s residency program, federal agents knocked on his door. They had identified him as a potential “leaker,” presumably through forensic examination of the hospital’s computer systems. Shortly thereafter, Assistant U.S. Attorney Tina Ansari began threatening Haim with prosecution.


Now, Ansari has made good on those threats. Earlier this week, U.S. marshals appeared at Haim’s home and summoned him to court to face an indictment on four felony counts of violating HIPAA. His initial appearance is next Monday, where he will learn more about the charges against him.


According to one of Haim’s attorneys, Marcella Burke, he is anxious to get to trial to get his side of the story told; she is confident that this will result in the correct decision being made. (For my own part, I can confirm that nothing in the information provided to me identified any individual; all the documents were, in fact, carefully redacted.) Nonetheless, the prosecutor has pressed forward, hoping, at the least, to intimidate other medical professionals who would consider blowing the whistle on the barbarism of “transgender medicine.”


Despite the threat to his livelihood and freedom, Haim is undeterred. He plans to mount a vigorous defense in court and is soliciting public support.


The Haim case marks an inflection point in the debate on “gender-affirming care.” If Haim prevails, other courageous doctors and medical professionals will follow his lead and speak out. We will need all their voices if we are to succeed in shutting down the child sex-change business in the United States.

One day after Dr. Haim exposed the Texas Children’s Hospital, the Texas state legislature voted to ban transgender medical treatment and procedures on minors.


“My name is Eithan Haim. I am a 33-year-old general surgeon who was the anonymous whistleblower in a story released May 16, 2023 by Christopher Rufo. We exposed the fact that Texas Children’s Hospital – the largest children’s hospital in the world – was lying to the public about the existence of their transgender program. In part due to the story’s release, the very next day, the Texas Legislature voted, with bipartisan support, to ban transgender medical interventions on minors.


The conduct we exposed became illegal in the State of Texas within 24 hours of our story,” the Dr’s GiveSendGo said.

“Just over a month later, on June 23rd, 2023, a few hours before my graduation from surgical training, two federal agents showed up to my apartment in a highly atypical, unexpected, and aggressive show of force. Despite their best attempt at launching a surprise interview, I insisted on having an attorney present. Before leaving, however, I was given a target letter signed by a federal prosecutor that stated I was being criminally investigated for a case regarding “medical records.”” – he said.


“Since no laws had been violated (no personally identifiable patient health information was disclosed), this was nothing more than a blatant attempt at political intimidation. We believe this case is being driven by a highly ideological division within the Department of Health and Human Services that aims to silence whistleblowers who expose institutionalized medical corruption and the dangers of these hormone-based interventions for confused, adolescent children,” Dr. Haim added.

Second, increasing payroll taxes, which would be equally contentious given the flat nature of the tax. Lastly, the path of least resistance: cutting benefits.

Analysts expect a 23% reduction in benefits within the next decade, which will inevitably extend beyond the affluent to the middle class, as the number of wealthy individuals is insufficient to shoulder the shortfall. The outcome will force millions of Americans to rely increasingly on personal savings, which are already being eroded at an alarming rate.

As the nation grapples with this impending financial debacle, the question remains: how will Congress navigate these turbulent waters? The path they choose will not only impact the fiscal health of the country but will also determine the financial security of countless Americans in their twilight years.
