I received an email during the night, from an old pal over at ATS, who informed me that Nightstar was not expected to see out the night.
Now unfortunately confirmed - Nightstar has passed, following a period of ill health.
Nightstar (Lorraine) was one of the founder members (and longtime hostess) of "The Shed" series of threads on ATS.

My understanding is that she has not been in the best of health for some time now, but I don't have any further details at this time. I have asked my friend to keep us posted, and will update the thread if I hear anything further.
As ATS itself is down just now, I am unable to seek clarification or further details from there.

For those who don't know... "The Shed" is/was a magical place where many friends were made and many tales and adventures were shared. It was an odd mix of collaborative fantasy story-telling, and real-life friendship & chat.
Lorraine was a shining light there, always lending an ear to anyone who needed someone to talk to.
Her kind heart and caring nature will live with me, and many other Shed-dwellers who were touched by her kind soul, for a very long time to come.

I would ask that you, as fellow Rogues and kindred spirits, spare a kind wish, a prayer, or positive thought for my friend Nightstar at this time.

'Raine - you are in my thoughts now and forever. I shall be raising a glass in your honour tonight.
Safe journey if it is indeed your time to pass. I'll see you on the other side (as we often joked about!)

Azrael is/was mine and my brothers official cat [snipped, microchipped & bought from pet store with papers costing about $600] for the past 20+yrs ...



She lived the life of a Princess with her every care and want supplied in full.

Personal Disclosure: She has been off both her food and drink and she has lost some control of her back legs and has since become immobile during the past few days now and tonight looks like it just might be her time to pass over!

She had and excellent run at life and I am glad to have known her and taken care of her.

I ask for your prayers for her new journey ok.

I found out a couple of days ago that a dear online and also RL friend passed away in October 2022.

I had tried to contact him in on many occasions for the past 6 months and now I know why.

Cody and I first met up over on ATS a few years ago and after bantering around with each other on many threads along with a couple of other members who can now be found here, we became very close...

You know I am pretty crap at writing down how I feel and that it is easier to talk face to face (And one day that will happen again when we find each other at the top of the mountain of reunion and share a good bottle of whatever together.. whilst you wear your Cowboy hat and me my gasmask.)
