So here's another confused (?) memory.
People of a certain age will recall the disinfection products that were called Mercurochrome and Merthiolate.
My parents used both of them on me and my siblings to disinfect cuts.
Now, I distinctly recall that Mercurochrome was quite mild in how it felt when applied. Merthiolate, on the other hand, burned like someone had put a match to one's skin. And of course, Dad loved Merthiolate, believing the burning sensation meant it actually 'worked' and that Mercurochrome was simply colored water.
But now I see on the babblenet articles claiming that Merthiolate was the mild product.
Anyone here ever use these products and have memories as to how they felt when applied ?
