I have never understood why we have allowed other countries to buy up land in the US, especially China.
I'm glad they are making them sell the land and wish other states would do the same.

But it does sound like farmers have had enough, and are raising concerns, but is it too late?

This is about time! It's like a slow invasion/take-over allowed by corrupt self-serving politicians etc . Also , Bill Gates should be looked at next, the amount of farmland he has bought.

Virginia may be next. We've already blocked China or Chinese shell companies from buying any more land in VA. They've bought up a lot of farmland and companies (pork raising concerns in eastern VA like "Smithfield Farms" come to mind), and the next logical step would be to force them to divest themselves of what they've already bought up.

China is buying farmland literally all over the world.

if things get bad do they really think they'll just pack up all that food and ship it home?
the host countries will confiscate for their own needs.

what will Xi do then?  complain to the UN?

I honestly don't think this is about things getting bad... China has an awful lot of mouths to feed and I'm thinking they are really starting to concern themselves for how to feed them all in the near future to future.
