Pretty normal for religion to come out when people or a society is under duress. Many have been on their knees praying for salvation as the bullet or blade finds them.
Maybe or for sure the world will end soon, "because I am miserable" has been used by all religions at one time or another. Remember all the preachers or false profits that gave a time and a date for the end...? If a god wants to destroy his creations every so often I think I would be ready for a new god who has better clarity of thought..
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong.
Silence those who disagree and you will never realize you are wrong. Yeah, I'm not trying to offend anyone, and I don't knock anybody for their beliefs, but the whole fire and brimstone thing seems a bit psychotic. God created us, he knows our nature, and if we're strictly supposed to be good, God would have made us that way. If the devil and demons are corrupting us, then again it's not our fault, and we don't deserve to be annihilated. Also psychotic is the God who told Abraham to sacrifice his son who Abraham loved, and prove his faith in God. Again, psychotic. I liken that to if I owned an ant farm, could communicate in ant, and bellowed down at one of the poor bastards, "kill your offspring, and prove your devotion!" I'd be put away. Maybe God never did any of that. Maybe rejecting man-made religion itself is the real test from God, to see through it all and just be good human beings to each other. Who wouldn't want that? •

Great thread. Everyone (IMNSHO) who has responded has the 'right' answer.
God is real. He is not separated from us. You can meet Him just like I did. When you do ... then you'll know ... There won't be anymore of that bullshit left in your mind that we once called Faith or Belief. You ... Will ... Know. God is NOT a bullshitter. You may be left underwhelmed by the experience over time, but after your eyes are opened to Him, all of Organized Religion's bullshitting is so staggeringly apparent you 'might' want to burn every church you see to the ground. After ... you'll realize that the better way is to gently wake the people you know and make the introduction. Simple as that. For where two or more are gathered together in my name, there I Am, in the midst of them. -Matthew 18:20 And for those who have not met Him (and might not): "Everything is alright." That's all you need to know. •

Disclaimer: I am a satanic, pagan, undead zombie lord, noble demon monster, and I will be 'playing' Devils advocate in this thread. My fate is already sealed and I am going to hell ok.
READ the following at your own RISK! Noble Demon Quote:Their goals are evil, but their means? Not so much. Devil's Advocate Quote:In common language, the phrase 'playing devil's advocate' describes a situation where someone, given a certain point of view, takes a position they do not necessarily agree with (or simply an alternative position from the accepted norm), for the sake of debate or to explore the thought further using valid reasoning that both disagrees with the subject at hand and proves their own point valid. Despite being medieval in origin, this idiomatic expression is one of the most popular present-day English idioms used to express the concept of arguing against something without actually being committed to the contrary view. Playing devil's advocate is considered a form of the Socratic method. Explanation: Unfortunately the video in the Original Post is now 'private' and can't be viewed,... But luckily I got to watch about half of it. Firstly lets get some facts straight and outta the way ok ... GOD EXISTS! Odds on that God exists, says scientist Quote:A scientist has calculated that there is a 67% chance that God exists. Quantum statistical mechanics It goes like this ... the OBSERVER collapses the Infinite wave function down to a single crass reality for themselves. If there is ONLY ONE OBSERVER, then they ARE GOD, and the collapse is PERFECT! However when there are multiple OBSERVERS the situation becomes complex and is resolved by sheer weight of numbers based upon like mindsets, and the catholics win that argument/fight with 1 in 5 people being claimed Roman Catholics, making it the greatest mindset on the planet. This means they control the collapse of the wave function and what they believe is true becomes facts, hence God, Jesus, Satan, Heaven and Hell are all REAL, whether the rest of us agree or not. Tulpa Quote:Tulpa is a concept in Theosophy, mysticism, and the paranormal, of a materialized being or thought form, typically in human form that is created through spiritual practice and intense concentration. Modern practitioners, who call themselves "tulpamancers", use the term to refer to a type of willed imaginary friend which practitioners consider to be sentient and relatively independent. Egregore Quote:Egregore (also spelled egregor; from French égrégore, from Ancient Greek ἐγρήγορος, egrēgoros 'wakeful') is an esoteric concept representing a non-physical entity that arises from the collective thoughts of a distinct group of people. GOD IS MALEVOLENT ... and logic determines that ... Trilemma Epicurus Quote Quote:“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. GOD IS CORRUPT! ... Why Power Corrupts Quote:"POWER tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.'' This statement of Lord Acton's has been illustrated many times in history. 2nd Samuel Chapter 11 Quote:What does the Bible say about power and corruption? Dystheism Quote:Dystheism (from Greek δυσ- dys-, "bad" and θεός theos, "god") is the belief that a god is not wholly good and can even be considered evil. Definitions of the term somewhat vary, with one author defining it as "where God decides to become malevolent".[1] The broad theme of dystheism has existed for millennia, as shown by trickster gods found in ethnic religions and by the view of other representations of what the various belief systems regard as the Supreme Being, such as the creator deity as conceived in Abrahamic religions, through a non-religious lens as angry, vengeful, smiting, and hypocritical. Do Not Judge Quote:1“Do not judge, or [/url] you will be judged. 2For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.… GOD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL GOOD AND EVIL! ... Isaiah 45:7 Quote:I am the LORD, and there is none else. [7] I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. WE ARE ALL DOOMED! ... The Wages of Sin Quote:The Wages of Sin originates from the starting of the biblical verse Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." ITS BETTER TO BE DEAD THAN ALIVE! Ecclesiastes 4:2-3 Quote:Ecclesiastes 4:2-3 King James Version (KJV) WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO!... Jesus and the rich young man Quote:Jesus and the rich young man (also called Jesus and the rich ruler) is an episode in the life of Jesus recounted in the Gospel of Matthew 19:16–30, the Gospel of Mark 10:17–31 and the Gospel of Luke 18:18–30 in the New Testament. It deals with eternal life[1][2] and the world to come.[3] Quote:First, Jesus advises the man to obey the commandments. When the man responds that he already observes them, and asks what else he can do, Jesus adds: If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me. Matthew 19:21 WHAT FOLLOWING JESUS ENTAILS!... Matthew 16:25 Quote:Take Up Your Cross HOW TO DIE FOR JESUS!... Temptation of Christ Quote:The temptation of Christ is a biblical narrative detailed in the gospels of Matthew,[1] Mark,[2] and Luke.[3] After being baptized by John the Baptist, Jesus was tempted by the devil after 40 days and nights of fasting in the Judaean Desert. At the time, Satan came to Jesus and tried to tempt him. Jesus having refused each temptation, Satan then departed and Jesus returned to Galilee to begin his ministry. During this entire time of spiritual battle, Jesus was fasting. If you last 40 days and nights without any food or water, then thats a miracle of GOD, otherwise you die a martyred saint and hey presto, pooft, straight to heaven you go. Revelation 6:10 Quote:The Fifth Seal: The Martyrs Revelation 1:6 Quote:John Greets the Seven Churches And thus end the sermon!!! I didn't get to see the video before the owner made it private, so I dunno if they explained what they mean by "sealed". I've no idea what that means, but it sounds like some of that Schofieldian dispensationalism which as a follower of God, I stay as far away from as possible.
With that said, it's about time for this old world to get burned to a crisp. There is less and less intelligent life on it by the day, so I'd consider it a failed experiment. Both halves of it want to kill off the other half anyhow, so no one should be put out when it comes - everyone gets their own enemies destroyed in the process, so it sounds like a win-win to me. It's a curiosity that it was age-restricted at first, and then taken off the market altogether and made "private" - what is it the owner doesn't want the general public to hear in their speech? . •

God gave us two things ... our freewill and our soul and [like an indian giver] he want's both of them back eh! Personal Disclosure: At the age of 35yrs old I had a vision, akin to the apostle Johns vision in the Book of Revelations, and I found myself at the pearly gates of heaven where I expected to find St Peter, but I was met by Jesus and he simply asked me two questions. The first question he asked was "Will you hand back your freewill to me?" and I said "No, Sir!". And the second question he asked me was "Will you die for me?" and I said "No, Sir!". And he simply then said "Well then, begone!" and with a wave of his hand he caused me to fall down to the deep hell I find myself in currently and as I fell, he changed me into a noble demon! As a noble demon, I am crucified between heaven and hell with one arm pointing up to heaven and one arm pointing down to hell, and its my job to separate the wheat [real christians] and send them to heaven, from the chaff [satanists] and take them to deeper hells on Judgement Day, and Jesus revealed to me my past life as Gestas, the Impenitent Thief. I firmly believe Muhammad (yeah ... that guy) found God and that he did become a prophet. What is a prophet though? I know exactly two ordained ministers (this one being notable: https://www.jhm.org) who carry the aura. I had already been taught that people who kill themselves are consigned to Hell. And then the preacher himself goes and does it. I should'a known right then, but the indoctrination was too strong. Just because there's a church and just because there's a book ... doesn't make 'em right (or wrong for that matter). There's a bunch of different churches and a bunch of different versions of the Bible. Some of 'em have even died out. Others have been wordsmithed to a point that they're fundamentally changed. And what are they wordsmithing on? A book that was radically altered by the First Council of Nicaea ... hundreds of years after the story of The Crucifixion ... in the land of Turkey ... at the direction of the people who killed Christ? I'm left wondering what it was they didn't want in there. What they didn't want people to really know and/or understand. As in 24, was Jesus referring to this before he was tasked to carry his cross? I stumble myself in my evaluation of some texts. I don't need to be "sealed". God is in me and experiences this world through me, through ALL of us- the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly.
Am I a Christian? Sure! Jesus and his teachings lead the way for how we should act so that God has the ultimum experience of his liking. Will we go to Hell if we are not "sealed"? Maybe, maybe not. The Holy Bible, though inspired by God, remains a work written and edited by MAN- who is not only fallible but can also be manipulative and power hungry and isn't above changing writings to his own benefit (ex: Council of Nicaea). If you cannot understand that then you probably believe everything you see on the news and all that your government tells you too!
As an American it's your responsibility to have your own strategic duck stockpile. You can't expect the government to do it for you.
