After failing twice two days in a row, I'm thinking if I can't drill the holes for the hinge mounting screws in the right places for these four little doors today, I may have to start a burn pile?
This is the small top cabinet part of the rustic hutch I am building. Hinges aren't attached in this pic. I hope I the 3rd try this afternoon is the charm or I may have to take a frustration break? It shouldn't be this hard. Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

If this war is a ploy to stop elections, and distractions for the Epstein files. Then people should do everything they can to stop the criminals!
Democracy means power for the people, but many people have forgotten that. When leaders forget that power comes from the people, it's up to us to remind them. This is our time to show that peaceful resistance can be powerful, and impossible to silence. This is how democracy lives! Try fixing one side with screws perfectly, and then use a couple of very small dabs of superglue for the other. You can test them for opening first and any minor adjustments for drilling can be made without encountering an already drilled unwanted hole. Nice doors. What's going in them? Glass, wire mesh, wood... Be The River. Slip Quietly Through Nature Until It Is Time To Flood. Then Rinse & Repeat.

Today, I have been bonding regularly with my little Siamese Fighting Fish which is in a small aquarium in the kitchen. I think it now understands where the food comes from and that there is a world beyond the edge of it's existance. lol It follows my finger and knows that when the lid is lifted, to divert it's gaze unto the heavens and reap the rewards of the universe as it unfolds. Nom Nom Nom!
It's rich blue and deep red and shaped like a really short "Arrow" which is now it's name. Gotta Love Nature. Be The River. Slip Quietly Through Nature Until It Is Time To Flood. Then Rinse & Repeat.

Why do qualified doctors and dentists work in a "Practice"? Why do people who like to use Clichés ignore any lessons they could have learned and passed on, instead of repeating the cliché? Why is there no photograph in existance of an identifiable astronaut's face while walking on the moon. Just people in suits with sun visors always down enforcing anonymity regardless of which way they are facing in a shot? What is absent from Buzz and Neil's mantlepieces is an invisible red flag perhaps? When you experience a passing rain shower on a sunny day, it's possible to close your eyes to focus the warm rays of the sun on your face, turn 180°, and open your eyes to see a Rainbow with a higher chance than luck. You then have both feet in both pots of gold. If some animals only eat vegetation, why are they always made of meat? Bees are so cool that the buzz of their beating wings is in the musical key of "C". Roast Chicken tonight.

I'm thinkin' I WISH IT WOULD STOP RAINING.
Seriously. The ditches are full and part of my yard has about 5 inches of standing water. I'm gonna start casting lures any minute now. I go to Wal Mart for the same reason people go to the zoo.

Today I'm thinking since my post about problematic hinge mounting generated a few responses that maybe I should start a thread about my current project?
Good news is the 3rd time WAS the charm, I got all 4 doors attached to their 8 non-mortised hinges with only the gap between the two doors on the left needing a little adjustment. I'll get that done this afternoon. Then they all need to come off for painting and to finish the inside of the cabinet. Rather than glass, I'll be using patterned metal screen to fill in the little doors. Once the whole top section of what will be a hutch is done, I'll be mating it to the bottom cabinet of a dry sink project I finished a few months ago that I ended up not liking. The solid cherry top came out great and will be used with a different base and I'll probably tone down the radical distressed paint experiment on the base? Dovetails or box joints on the drawers ? I like the Cherry. Some Odie's Oil would make that grain pop and give it a nice luster. I go to Wal Mart for the same reason people go to the zoo.

Rather that mess up thread with my off-topic crap, I will be making a new thread to discuss the project I am currently working on.

Today my thoughts go to how much will it cost to fix my well water pump (?) problem as I await the well water technician. My family now appreciates my crazy prepper ways when they had to break out the doomsday water reserves. Ha! Now I need to buy more water storage containers.

Thinking about going to a Thai restaurant.
Thinking about paying too much to replace the water well capacitor and after inspecting my sump pump and replacement, the ensuring estimate for a small ransom. Thinking about making spice blends after ordering many different spices online, also for a small ransom.
