'The UK has been colonised by immigrants' - Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is the founder of the INEOS chemicals group which made him a multi-billionaire , he is also co-owner of Manchester United football club , in an interview with Sky news Sir Jim tells it like it is.

"You can't have an economy with nine million people on benefits and huge levels of immigrants coming in," he said. "I mean, the UK has been colonised. It's costing too much money.

"The UK has been colonised by immigrants, really, hasn't it? I mean, the population of the UK was 58 million in 2020, now it's 70 million. That's 12 million people."

The Office of National Statistics (ONS) estimates that the population of the UK was 67 million in mid-2020 and 70 million in mid-2024.

The ONS estimate is driven by government our eyes tell the real story , Jim is right we have and are being colonized by immigrants legal and illegal and Starmer is opening up pathways to increase that by signing up to EU schemes to allow more to come legally.

Sir Jim signalled that the prime minister might not be the right man for the top job, saying: "I don't know whether it's just the apparatus that hasn't allowed Keir to do it or, or he's maybe too nice - I mean, Keir is a nice man. I like him, but it's a tough job and I think you have to do some difficult things with the UK to get it back on track, because at the moment I don't think the economy is in a good state."

The chemicals boss said he had met recently with Nigel Farage, the Reform leader, saying of him: "I think Nigel is an intelligent man, and, I think he's got good intentions. But in a way, you could say exactly the same about Keir Starmer. I think it needs somebody who's prepared to be unpopular for a period of time to get the big issues sorted out."

I disagree with Jim on the last part , Starmer is ideologically driven towards migrants as he used to represent them when he was a Human rights lawyer it's British people he has a problem with.

The Left are today clutching their pearls following Sir Jim Ratcliffe's comments of truth with the Dear Leader calling on him to apologise for speaking words of truth.

Sir Keir responded by saying Britain was "a proud, tolerant and diverse country" and called on Sir Jim to apologise.

A Downing Street spokesperson said the comments "play into the hands of those who want to divide our country".

Burnham said: "These comments go against everything for which Manchester has traditionally stood: a place where people of all races, faiths and none have pulled together over centuries to build our city and our institutions, including Manchester United FC. 
"Calling for curbs on levels of immigration is one thing; portraying those who come here as a hostile invading force is quite another.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has expressed sorrow that his wording has upset some easily offended people but his belief remains unchanged , this debate must continue.

In a statement, the founder of the INEOS chemicals group and Manchester United co-owner said: "I am sorry that my choice of language has offended some people in the UK and Europe and caused concern, but it is important to raise the issue of controlled and well-managed immigration that supports economic growth."

"My comments were made while answering questions about UK policy at the European Industry Summit in Antwerp, where I was discussing the importance of economic growth, jobs, skills and manufacturing in the UK.

"My intention was to stress that governments must manage migration alongside investment in skills, industry and jobs so that long-term prosperity is shared by everyone. It is critical that we maintain an open debate on the challenges facing the UK."

Personally I would say it's imperative for people in his position to raise this issue as it effects the very nature of our society and ultimately the survival of our way of life and Country.
