How can democrats tolerate this??

Here's a news story about a Colorado man boy who threatened to fire bomb the US Embassy in Israel.  He was arrested with molotov cocktails in his backpack after posting threats to Americans, Trump, paying tribute to Nazi's and other madness on FailBook.  Doesn't say where he's from in CO, but if I had to guess it would be either Boulder or Denver.

The liberal left has become increasingly unhinged and crazy radical.  How can democrats as a party tolerate this behavior???  It just blows my mind.

I will freely admit to being a conservative for all of my adult life (no surprise there, right?), and even though I don't agree with many of the fundamental liberal democratic initiatives, I have always been able to understand and accept we have ideological differences but we are still just people at the end of the day.  (Not to mention I work with numerous people who are not conservatives like myself and we all have generally managed to get along...until recently).  I don't think it's an exaggeration in the least to say the democratic party has become increasingly radical and psychotic over the past decade to the point I don't even recognize many of these people anymore.  I just cannot seem to wrap my head around how the democratic party supports, embraces and encourages this crazy and violent behavior.  It just stuns me, it truly does!

I can readily accept the notion of the proverbial "bad apple", but the recent trends are far more than just a small group who are the exception rather than the rule.  Today, there are growing numbers of people, public figures even, who openly endorse these radical and crazy behaviors.  Under no circumstances do I see the democratic party stepping up and universally condemning these actions.  AND, by failing to condemn these actions they leave no other conclusion than they support these actions.  I mean, seriously.  I just don't get it.  Sometimes I walk around and just think the entire world has gone nuts.

I struggle to accept that the DNC is so desperate for votes that they will openly welcome the absolute worst of the worst, but it sure appears to me that is exactly what they are doing.  Why?

How do we, as a nation, get this radicalization under control?

I write this with no political slurs, or name calling.  I honestly have tried here not to use BS partisan rhetoric and lies.  I have not mentioned one political candidate or officer, good or bad.  The honest facts are, the vast majority of politically motivated violence and destruction of property in this country and abroad is being done by the radical left.  And, it seems to me this behavior will only increase as long as the democratic party fails to universally condemn it, and condemn it with a loud and decisive voice.  I am honestly not hearing that voice today.

From my perspective, these types of behaviors are a downward death-spiral to anarchy.  Compounding this problem is, it doesn't appear to me that the vast majority of the democratic party has any sort of a united message (other than to "get" those on the right...which isn't a coherent message).  The liberals and democrats seem to be so splintered they cannot even agree with each other on what they want.  And, it would seem to me, that in order to survive the democrats must step above this, establish a universal political agenda, and cast out (without exception) all the bad actors who are just bent on destroying America.  And very candidly, if ultimately the agenda the democrats agree upon is just that...destroy America...then the democratic party will cease to exist.  Surely democratic leadership must recognize this.  So, what are they going to do about it?  And, what can we as Americans do to help them get out of this destructive and violent pattern of behavior?

I ask these questions in total honesty.  It's not about one guy who threatens to fire bomb an embassy; it's about hundreds of thousands of citizens who harbor all sorts of violent and destructive thoughts about America and American citizens.

Thank you for taking the time to read this if you made it this far.  Perhaps we can all work to find a solution.  Because I, for one, believe America is the greatest country on this planet, and the American way is worth defending.

I had a great long response typed out, in intricate detail, but the computer ate it a few minutes ago, and I had to reboot. I'd never get all that typed up again just as it was, so here is the TL: DR version:

Democrats aren't tolerating it. They are increasingly just walking away from a party that has already abandoned them in favor of globalist/ progressive masters, just as many of us former republicans did in the 1990's when the RNC was taken over by the globalist/ progressive Neocon RINOS.

There is not a nickel's worth of difference between Liz Cheney and AOC - both are serving the same globalist/ progressive masters. They are both two sides of the same nickel.

Don't watch the jumbotron propaganda tube - it's lying to you. Watch what is actually going on on the playing field.

Notice that Trump won the popular vote, the first republican to do so in decades. Notice the polls are all rejecting the globalist neocon agenda.

It's all interrelated, and indicative of Democrats just walking away, the DNC alienating and losing their base. Some Democrats have been successfully radicalized by the globalist/ progressive leadership, but not as many as they had hoped, and probably not as many as folks think.

It's just that those so radicalized are yelling the loudest, making the most noise, drawing the most attention.

Just because someone is loudest, doesn't mean they are most massive. It just means they yell louder than the silent majority, as Nixon termed it.

When the pitchforks and torches come out, those yelling loudest are the easiset to find, and the first to go.

ETA: Always remember, the Republicans also started out as a radical party. So radical in fact that before, during, and for a few years after the US Civil War (especially during "reconstruction"), they were actually proud to refer to themselves as "Radical Republicans".

Those "radical republicans" were what sparked the likes of the Red Shirts and the Ku Klux Klan into existence, as a backlash to their radical views and radical means of "reconstruction".

a few years ago some rep in NY seemed to have a safe seat when out of nowhere came Ms. Ocasio-Cortez who babble all sorts of extreme leftist nonsense...and won the election.
leftist Senator Chuck Shumer compromised on a bill recently and might be challenged by Ms. O-C for his Senate seat.
the left in this country (and probly much of Europe) is increasingly being pulled by the noisy extremists, and those who don't go along are castigated by those noisy extremists (with the help of the fawning media).
reminds me of the French Revolution.  you couldn't be extreme enough, and if you weren't supporting the cause adequately they would prosecute you for 'lack of zeal'.

Here's my question. I have to ask, do we know what percentage of "Democrats" are that far radical left? I ask because I know a lot of Democrats and for the most part, they are pretty reasonable "centrist" type people.  They do exhibit some "cognitive dissonance" like, being orthodox Christians on the one hand and supporting abortion on the other.  But for the most part, they're mostly "o.k." I would add that it appears to me that most of the one's I know are less "Liberal (leftist) Democrat" than they are people who vote Democrat because their father/grandfather voted Democrat. What I mean to say is there simply isn't a lot of "thought" going on when they go to the polls.

On the other hand, I have to suspect that the most radical of the Democrats get most all of the "air time" simply because they're controversial and that's an eyeball gatherer.

Cvastar - I am kind of in the same boat as you; I know a number of 'seemingly' reasonable democrats (and I also know some bat shit crazy ones too).  So, your question of...'how do we know?'...is a fair and valid one; and I will attempt to answer.

I think the most compelling reason can be found by examining these same seemingly reasonable democrats.  If they truly were as reasonable as they appear, then they would be calling out these bat shit crazy and violent ones at every opportunity.  They would be vocally, and in the media, rabidly disassociating themselves from these people.  They would be screaming for their heads and disavowing any association (party or otherwise) between these wacko ones and themselves.  And, they would be shouting this same mantra from every rooftop.  They would be screaming..."you're making us ALL look like a bunch of radical, violent, lunatics!!  Stop it...or GET OUT!"  Every MSM interview with party officials all the way down to the common man would be putting as much distance as possible between these violent crazies burning down cities, harassing people, starting riots and creating anarchy.  And, I don't see any of them, and certainly none of the party leadership, condemning any of these acts...not a single one.

So, I can only conclude from this that while these people we see who 'seem' to be reasonable, really behind the scenes, silently support (and even encourage...when no one is looking) these violent, destructive and anarchistic behaviors within their own party.  That they not only support these behaviors, but they actually welcome and encourage them.  I mean seriously...how could anyone conclude any differently??

It would be different if these many acts were isolated and seldom occurring, but they aren't.  They're widespread across the nation.  Almost every major city has some of these radicals (in large numbers too), and when they show up it's not just a few of them...it's thousands.  And then you have democratic leadership like Maxine Waters, AOC, Rashida Talib, Pelosi and many others going on TV and egging these people on.  How do these people who condone these activities get elected unless people approve of their actions and behaviors by voting for them???  They should be run out of town on a rail, after being tarred and feathered...but they aren't.  Why?  The only explanation is because people support them.

And then there are people like the mayor of Portland who does things like refusing to issue demonstration permits in any other area than ground zero of the opposition (when the exact same rules don't apply to that opposition).  They do this because they are willfully inciting a riot!  The damn Mayor is doing this.  AND THEN...this yahoo turns around and blames the Christian group for starting it when it's patently obvious they didn't, and were only following orders to hold their demostration in the only place they had a permit for.  I don't care how you slice it...that's willful.  He knew those people would be pelted with broken bottles and molotov cocktails...he WANTED it to happen!

So, you see, there is this continued pattern of behavior from top to bottom of the democratic party which seems to applaud all this destruction and anarchy.  It's not just a "few bad apples"...it's endemic to the entire party.

That is basically my answer to your question.

It is a question worth considering.  When a group does stupid or criminal things, how much responsibility is born by each individual in the group ?  What are the penalties for individuals deviating from group behavior, and is it realistic to expect them to expose themselves to punishment ?

I wouldn't expect them to expose themselves to punishment; these are cowards we're talking about here.  Cowards, criminals and thieves.  However, what I do expect is the rest of their party to vigorously condemn their actions and behaviors and publicly state these actions to NOT represent the ideology of the party in any way, shape or form.  I expect the rest of the democrats to be at the front of the lynch mob with their pitchforks and torches working tirelessly to cast these evil vermin out. The (the party and the rest of the democrats) are not making those condemnations, or taking any of those actions, so then they must be complicit then, right?  Else what other (honest, morally upstanding and forthright) reason would they have not to?  (rhetorical question, as I'm pretty sure I know the answer...votes and campaign contributions).

Same thing goes with the illegals.  Why aren't the dems screaming about them too?  The illegals are taking food off their very own tables, saturating their healthcare resources and destroying their cities, but what do we hear?...***crickets***  Must be okay with that too then.
