MSB, may I ask if this is pursuant to your work on a "Kolchak" piece? I ask because it sounds like it might fit into such a narrative.

I see this as, either the devil has fooled us all into believing he is God, or we as people are so misguided by our own misinterpretation of those words that we commit the very sins they warn against committing. 

All over "beliefs."

Doesn't add up.

I hope there are more alternatives. I did find it interesting that the Gnostics had a lot of ideas that include reincarnation and ascending to higher planes beyond the heaven world, among other things.

There were episodes where Kolchak encountered demonic forces, Satanists, and even a witch coven, however, he never brought faith into it other than what popular legends he was told by the professionals he interviewed. He had faith in those things that saved his ass, but he never once showed any real faith in any particular religion.



I understand that a TV character with one hour episodes is likely a fairly shallow character, but Kolchak has his unique character and personal faults. That needs to be expanded upon and given greater depth in my opinion. Also, Kolchak never had a concluding episode where everything came together and he was able to overcome something in his life that he needed to in able to grow as a character.

ETA: There is a paperback I must read, the one that started the first movies and then the later series, "The Kolchak Files". I think we can see where the X-Files got its name.

Correction: It was called "The Kolchak Papers" by Jeff Rice and is a collection of the first novels Kolchak "the Night Stalker" and "the Night Strangler". It goes for around $20 if you can find it. I may try some libraries.

The religious factions preach and proclaim tolerance while in truth anyone who does not fall within their sects hierarchy are condemned to a fate worse than death by eternal damnation.  All Buddhist will go to eternal hell because they are not Christen blah blah blah pick a religion and they all have a reason why they are the one true faith and everyone else is screwed. 

There may be something to reincarnation as there have been many compelling reports of people remembering past lives...

Buried or cremated sooner or later you become part of this earth just like the billions and billions of life forms that have perished and been forgotten since earth became a thing..

Thousands of years of stifled growth and advancement due to some written words supposedly by a god who promises paradise after you are dead yet written by men who seek power by controlling the religious narrative while living in a fantasy of their own creation .. 

Some interesting stories about the The Council of Nicea and how agreements on what would be preached by the church has many interesting stories depending on who or what you want to believe...

Science continually corrects itself, as time goes by! And this self-correcting mechanism, allows Science to grow, adapt and get better at making predictions, as it evolves... Throwing out well established ideas, if they don't fit new data! One really cannot say the same for Religion which tends to be fixed, rigid and static!!

Life After Death: A Warning From The Other Side

You wake up. Sleepiness fades as your eyes slowly open to a bright white light. And it feels warm and familiar; it feels like home. And your whole family is there to meet you.

Your entire life flashes before your eyes, like scenes from a movie. The good. The bad. Even the awful things you've done. But everything comes together. It all finally makes sense.

With this enormous weight off your shoulders, the memory of your life starts to fade, just like a dream.

A familiar voice says: "We're happy you're here. We missed you. But - you can't stay." What? You just got here. You're getting kicked out already?

The voice says, "They need you. But we'll see you again when the time is right." And you know, somehow, the voice is telling the truth.

Suddenly, a burst of red-hot pain rips through your chest. It feels like every single cell in your body is on fire. You can't breathe.

A scream forces your eyes open. It's a blood-curdling scream, like an animal being eaten alive. Then you realize: the scream is coming from you.

You're in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors and nurses. They all take a step back. Stunned. They're staring at you. But why?

Well - you just came back from the dead.

If we consider the practical nature of the scientific method in making conclusions about reality, it would be great to have a similar method for matters involving faith or things that we can't yet comprehend. It all comes down to logic and reasoning but you can't recreate instances of faith or what might be considered a supernatural occurrence when you can't identify the variables involved.

I like fairy tales and I actually believe in the wee-folk, angels, and demons, and what have you, but until science catches up and can offer a testable explanation, it is all faith-based. If this is all in our heads, then the chemical, biological, and physical factors should be quantifiable and reproducible under controlled conditions. With government mind control experiments, I'm sure that have it figured out and aren't releasing that information to the public.

The afterlife is a great mystery... sort of. If you believe what the bible says upon your death you are in something akin to a deep and dreamless sleep until the great day of resurrection and judgement. Other religions say you keep being reborn into human life until you reach total enlightenment. I believe we are eternal souls who choose to return from the "collective" to live on earth in these bodily avatars to experience all that earthly life has to offer and when we have seen and done all that we want we can choose eternal rest in the "collective". I believe that "Heaven" is whatever we imagine it to be and that eventually we ALL go there. Hell was created for Lucifer and the angels who rebelled against the Creator.

Ive sensed this just like youve described it, GHLd. The beginning of the end of it For me it was in the fact and realization that so many people who claim to of had "Christ in their hearts" and yet would boast and gloat over the fact that someone who had a different opinion than theirs would burn in hell for all of eternity, while they would live on golden streets in their forever mansions with all their heavenly treasures. 

Meanwhile everyone else is burning in hell.

How do these people sleep at night? 

How is this not pure hate and wickedness of heart and mind.

How is that loving others as yourself?

All of these are rhetorical questions that I have discovered/uncovered the answers to.

My purpose for this post isn't to give those answers, but to point out the fallacy within this ideology. 

People have used this very tactic of someone burning in hell if they didn't do what someone told them to do. Molestation of every nature has been done by using this very tactic. People have wiped out entire nations and tribes of people due to this mentality. This mentality has been a root cause of so much control, abuse, and power all brought to fruition by using the fear of being thrown into hell, just for not believing exactly as they believe. 

People have been burned alive just for questioning it at all.

Add the fact that none of then agree, even within the same "religion" (Christianity itself!)


I've gone from church to church and they all claim to know the "only way." Yet they all disagree with one another while following the same god.

Every cult I've ever examined for research purposes has had that exact mentality. 

So, for me, it was in all of this that a total lie could be seen clearly. 

This is all from an evil source.

Not a "good source."

It was in watching the "elders of the church" that taught me how wicked of an ideology it all was.

And the most powerful form of mind control the world has ever known. 

So, I call bullshit.

And have spent my time wisely and searching for a different answer. In doing so I found the true source of light and love. God in his true forms. Love peace and joy are the kingdom of heaven here on earth. If someone hasn't learned this yet, then I feel for them. Jesus is, in fact, the Way. Its just not the "way" its been described.

I choose love, mercy, kindness, gentleness joy peace forbearance self control and long suffering as my guides through life's obstacles. 

I know that this world is not my home, and that this is temporary and not mine to fight over.

I have found the kingdom of heaven. I went through and past hell to find it.
