Reading this short article was a journey. For a sec I thought it was a serious article, then I thought it was a spoof, but then at the end I realized that, no, this young lady, her personal space, and her freeloading boyfriend really thought France would be the USA, but with better bread.

Moving abroad provides a great opportunity to learn a new culture and embrace a different style of living.


While relocating to France was a "dream" of one expat, she explained why she did not stay for long.

"The biggest reason [I left] is predominately economic," Regan Shorter stated on her YouTube channel.

She told others considering a move that they may not have as many opportunities to make money than at home, and she struggled financially despite living in a "cheap" part of France.

Regan added she could only work as a freelancer based on her visa type and found that job prospects were not as good as in her native United States.

She continued: "Living in France was not economically viable for the long term. On a freelance English teacher's salary, I was supporting two people and barely making minimum wage.

"In the United States, both I and my boyfriend have more job opportunities, can make higher wages, and have more flexibility in the work we do.

"While France has more social programs offered by the government than we do in the US, we weren't taking advantage of many of them because of the arduous paperwork involved and because we're both young and healthy."

The expat also spoke about what she found to be one of the most difficult things to get used to in the country.

“My number one pet peeve about living in France is the French’s lack of awareness for personal space,” she said.

“Take for example going to the grocery store. People spin their carts everywhere, they’ll hit you with their cart. Don’t go to the grocery store on a busy Saturday, [it’s] the most annoying thing ever.”

Regan mentioned missing her family and friends as another reason she was keen to leave the European country.

She added: "The second reason we left France was to be closer to our friends and family. Even if you try hard to maintain a relationship, the distance makes it difficult.

"Time differences make it hard to spontaneously chat or keep up with others from home. And the physical distance is difficult when birthdays or other big occasions roll around.

"We made a ton of really, really good friends in France that it is hard to leave behind as well. This one is a catch-22."

As such, TV Licensing has a handy guide on its website over enforcement for people not paying their
fees but breaking the rules by watching the Beeb. "We have a range of detection tools at our disposal
in our vans," it says.

"Some aspects of the equipment have been developed in such secrecy that engineers working on specific
detection methods work in isolation - so not even they know how the other detection methods work."
It adds: "This gives us the best chance of catching licence evaders."

Responding to hoax speculation, a BBC official remained coy about how the vans were used, stating:
"Detector vans are an important part of our enforcement of the licence fee. We don't go into detail
about how many there are or how they work as this information might be useful to people trying to
evade the fee."

The rumour of vans being a hoax has circulated for years, with one web user writing previously:
"There are no TV detector vans. It was originally a PR stunt to frighten people into thinking they could
be detected and then pursued for not having a TV licence. There are still no TV detector vans. The way
they can tell is if you don't pay your direct debit or move into a home which did have a TV licence but
which hasn't renewed the license."

"They work by detecting the electromagnetic signature that your television gives off. They are so accurate
that they can tell you where in the house the TV is, and they can indeed see the channel you are watching,"
a second said, disagreeing.

Another said: "I believe they pick up the signal from the local oscillator in your TV. When radio or television
signals are transmitted the audio or video signal is superimposed on a 'carrier wave' - a process known as
modulation. When you tune the set it is the frequency of the carrier you tune to. To retrieve the original audio
or video signal it is necessary to demodulate the composite signal.

"That is achieved by 'mixing' it with a locally-generated signal of the same frequency as the carrier. Hence
the need for a local oscillator. As the different channels use carrier waves of different frequencies it is
presumably possible to tell which you are tuned to by measuring the frequency of the radiation emitted

'The 17-year-old accused of murdering three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport
appeared in a BBC Children’s in Need video, it can be revealed. Axel Rudakubana, who is alleged to have
carried out the knife attack on Monday, dressed as Doctor Who in the 2018 fundraising clip.

In the video, called it’s time to do your thing, the then 11-year-old starred alongside four child actors dressed
as other incarnations of the Doctor for the promo. It comes after The Telegraph revealed he had taken part in
a West End show alongside dozens of other performance group members.

A BBC source told MailOnline: “Children in Need has no relationship to Axel Rudakubana. The individual was
contracted by the BBC for the campaign video through a casting agency in 2018 and has never had an affiliation
with any of our funded projects.”

Appearing in the 45-second clip, the 11-year-old tells viewers: “It’s that time of year again,” before advising on
the best ways to raise money for Children in Need. He says “You can run from John O’Groats to Land’s End” in
the promo that is thought to have been shot on location in nearby Blackpool in early 2018.

At the time, Mr Rudakubana had worked with Ology Kids Casting based in Ormskirk, Lancashire - close to
Southport, it is reported. The agency has since deleted a series of Facebook posts about Axel’s acting career,
including one that read: “Look out for Ology superstar Axel in the new promo for Children In Need!!”

A BBC Children in Need spokesman told MailOnline: “Our deepest sympathies go out to everyone impacted
by this shocking case, and we have removed the video from all of our platforms out of respect to them.”
Mr Rudakabana is charged with the murder of Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot
Stancombe, seven.

Reading through it, I did notice some not-so-subtle word-fuckery occurring within. For example, the protestors are now being described as "far-right". It appears that the criteria for "far-right" is a desire to keep the country one built for it's citizens, and opposition to human-wave invasions of foreigners hell bent on taking it away from the natives. So, what used to be the normal course of human events - retaining what one has built for themselves to themselves - is now "far-right".

I also noticed that "mostly peaceful protests" as practiced and labeled by the Left just a few short years ago, the EXACT same sort of "mostly peaceful protests" THEY were engaging in at that time, are now "violence in the streets" when it's the other side engaging in the self-same behavior.

One difference between the two that I've noticed is that the protests from the Left were OFFENSIVE in nature. "Offensive" not in the sense of  exciting offended "feelz" in the opposition, but rather "offensive" in the military sense of presenting an attack against native customs and morals, while the protests emanating from the Right are primarily DEFENSIVE in nature - presenting a defense against invading waves of foreigners intent on taking over what is not theirs to take.

Defensive measures used to be the norm among civilized men when invading barbarians knocked at the gates... but now it seems that any such action must be labelled with the libel of "far-right". It's only the offensive, "mostly peaceful protests" that come from the Left that are acceptable violence. If the violence comes from their opponents in the exact same "mostly peaceful" manner, it must be condemned as "having no place on our streets".

SO - OFFENSIVE action = good, DEFENSIVE action = bad. Got it. That's probably why they are so hell-bent on disarming the average US citizen. They don't want us engaging in that nasty defensive action when someone, for example, engages in a home invasion robbery intent on taking what is not theirs to take, and never has been.

What an upside down world it has become when defending against attack is being criminalized! It used to be that attack was criminal, and defense was acceptable. No longer.

I also noticed that now, suddenly, there is "no place for violence in our society", whereas just a few short years ago there WAS room for violence, when that violence came from the Left. Now the Left is defending their actions back then (they should be careful of that if they intend to criminalize defense!) and condemning THE SAME ACTIONS now that they are coming from the opposition.

So, what it really appears to boil down to is not the action itself, but the INTENT of the action: "attack" is acceptable, "defense" against those attacks is not. that comes straight from the top - it's the plan this "Sir Keir" character seems to be pushing. Odd, I think, that governments would use their power and position to push their opponents into violence, then condemn the violence they themselves initiated and promoted, and THEN engage in violence of their own to quash it. How can they legitimately say "there is no place for violence in our society" and then proceed to engage in... VIOLENCE against the passions they have themselves inflamed? Either violence is acceptable, or it is not - the source of the violence has no bearing on whether it is "violence" or not.

At least the Home Secretary lady was a bit more measured in her words - she specifically offered an exemption for government violence against civilian violence, giving a cut-out for the government to exercise violence for whatever reason it likes, whereas the citizenry enjoys no such immunity... unless they are violencing from the Left.

Specifically, what Ms. Cooper said was "Criminal violence and disorder has no place on Britain's streets,"  Notice that she at least specified "criminal" violence, presumably to contrast it with official violence so as to give the government their monopoly on violence, and she at least said "Britain's streets", in contrast to the rest of the talking heads who as a unit seem to be using the phrase "OUR streets". Compare the British phrase "OUR streets" with the phrase as being used in America, "OUR democracy". Just who is "OUR" in these phrases? It certainly doesn't include everyone, as "our" might be expected to do. Otherwise, folks could do as they damned well pleased in their own streets, and they would not be run over roughshod if the "democracy" was actually theirs.

No, these phrases actually serve to differentiate just who can overrun whom. They are a means of laying claim to the whole by a single, likely minority, segment of society and excluding the rest from the process they are claiming for themselves.

That is the actual danger of word-fuckery as it is now being engaged in. It;s the hidden statements that folks just don't bother to dissect in the public statements being made. The hope is that no one will question the statements as being constructed, and that will give them a de facto standing as "factual" by virtue of going unchallenged.

This is exactly the same sort of word-fuckery that Orwell called "Newspeak" in his novel "1984"... and here we are, living it. It is engaged in almost - but not quite - exclusively by the political Left. They want a monopoly on constructing "Newspeak" in this Brave New World.

Something wicked this way comes, and therein lies to roots of madness.

See the difference...? One article condemns an oppressive nature of a Government and suggests by subtle
wording that the deaths in the long-running 'unrest' is due to the hard-handedness of the military. The Internet
in Bangladesh was shut off for a time and again, the BBC imply this is a negative.

The second article regarding 'riots' in Britain is painted differently. The newly-installed Labour Government is
endorsed via word-conjuring of those who are State-funded, for their response to the recent disorder of a certain
section of the public and assure the assumed agreeing-majority that swift stern action will be taken.
One his oppressive, one is not oppressive enough. By the way, no deaths occurred and the small
amount of looting was reported to have been done by those of mid-teen age.

Closely following the established media's rhetoric on the criminal damage and arrests over the first British
weekend of August, is the suggestion that social-media is a major contributor to the anger and restraints
should be seriously contemplated.
The Internet is helpful to Bangladesh, the internet is dangerous to Britain.

It would be easy at this point to resort to the trendy schoolyard conduct of accusing the BBC of a certain type
of racism, but this branding would fail to address the real reason such syntax-sculpted partisanship takes place
daily.

Its all about social-order, the Class-system... the Caste-system. Those who know fine wines and have never
worried about what tomorrow might bring would possibly suggest that the 'peasants' may have no colour
and are all in a similar frame of mind, but it's just that they simply cannot appreciate the  word 'control'.

Note to the Authoritarian Left - and let's be honest here, there is no other kind of Leftie than Authoritarian - offering to imprison en masse 80% of your population to benefit invading forces is probably not your smoothest move... especially when you don't have the ass to do it as more and more of them are demonstrating a willingness to tear you a new ass because of your destructive policies. Maybe re-evaluating those policies in,light of the will of your majority night be a better move.

They say that "the squeaky wheel gets the grease", and for a few generations now, the Lefties have been the only ones squeaking... but now that the majority is starting to squeak over the injustices being perpetrated upon then, it might be a good idea to listen, lest that wheel, which is much bigger, simply grind you into dust when it's had enough, as it appears to have done.

'Of all the bold announcements a brand-new government would like to be making, the early release of prisoners
surely isn’t among them. But on Friday ministers will say that some offenders in England and Wales will be let
out after they’ve completed 40% of their sentences, the BBC has confirmed.

Currently prisoners serving standard determinate sentences - that is, those with a fixed end date - are released
after serving 50%. This change in policy won’t include serious criminals such as sex offenders, rapists and terrorists.
Instead, shoplifters and those convicted of drugs offences are among those likely to be released sooner.

Sources say it will most likely amount to a number in the low thousands leaving prison early in the coming weeks
and months. It’s a short-term fix that will free up cells quickly. And it’s happening because there simply aren’t
enough resources to cope with the rising number of people being locked up...

'Donald Trump has falsely claimed a crowd which gathered to see Vice President Kamala Harris
speak in Michigan last week “didn’t exist” and an image showing it was AI generated. The picture
in question shows a large crowd at the Democratic presidential nominee's rally in Detroit.

Mr Trump, the Republican taking on the vice-president in November's election, said on his Truth Social
platform, external that it was a fake and there was “nobody” there waiting for her. However, in multiple
other images and videos, some taken by people present but also by TV news teams and agency
photographers, you can see a large crowd of people at the event.

BBC presenter Sumi Somaskanda took the picture below at the rally and says: “People were literally
packed in and the crowd stretched out onto the airfield.” Several of other photographs taken at the event
by Getty Images, external show a large crowd there.

Video footage taken by several independent media organisations, including NBC News and PBS, show
similar scenes. Local media outlet MLive covered the event and estimated that about 15,000 people,
external were at the rally which was held at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

Many people who were also there posted pictures on X which showed them in a big crowd, including
a Michigan state Democrat lawmaker, external who said there were “throngs of people”.

Where did the image come from?
The first version we could find of the photo Mr Trump has highlighted was posted on X by a Harris
campaign staffer, external, Bhavik Lathia, on 7 August. Mr Lathia says the picture was sent to him.
BBC Verify checked the metadata of this image, which confirmed it was taken on an iPhone 12 Pro
Max device on 7 August at 18:28 local time.

“I can confirm that this was taken by Harris campaign staff and not modified by AI in any way,” a
campaign official told the BBC. The campaign also sent us several other images taken by the same
person at the same spot, including the one below.



This image was taken a minute earlier from the same angle, in which the same crowd is visible but
covered in shadow.by another campaign official. The Harris campaign confirmed this and sent us
what they say was the original photo below.

We’ve asked the Harris campaign whether the image which was questioned by Mr Trump was brightened
to expose the crowds covered by shadow or changed in any other way. There’s no evidence that the Harris
campaign edited the image to make the crowd appear larger.

There have also been suggestions online that several elements of the photo show it has been manipulated
using AI. These include the absence of a crowd in a reflection on the side of the plane, and that there is no
identification number on the plane’s tail. On the first point, other photos taken by news agencies show the
same view in the reflection on the side of the plane without a visible crowd.

A Getty photograph taken from the reverse angle looking towards the crowd shows a clear area on the tarmac
in front of the plane as Ms Harris and her running-mate Tim Walz walk away from it.
It is possible that the reflection on the side of the plane is mainly of this area of empty tarmac.

Questions have also been raised online about why there is no identification number on the tail of Air Force
Two - the vice president’s plane. However, the number is also absent from other pictures taken at the Detroit
event, and footage of the plane, external at other events recently also show it without a number on its tail.

Prof Hany Farid, a specialist in image analysis at UC Berkeley, has examined the photograph using software
designed to detect AI-generated images and says “we found no evidence that this image is AI-generated or
digitally altered”...'

in front of the plane as Ms Harris and her running-mate Tim Walz walk away from it.
It is possible that the reflection on the side of the plane is mainly of this area of empty tarmac.

Questions have also been raised online about why there is no identification number on the tail of Air Force
Two - the vice president’s plane. However, the number is also absent from other pictures taken at the Detroit
event, and footage of the plane, external at other events recently also show it without a number on its tail.

Prof Hany Farid, a specialist in image analysis at UC Berkeley, has examined the photograph using software
designed to detect AI-generated images and says “we found no evidence that this image is AI-generated or

I'm calling "bullshit" on their "experts".

I'm no "expert", but even I could dig into the metadata and see for myself that it is NOT what the article claims. The central image, above, the one that is not cropped in any way, was the one I dug into. The image title is "Original", which is suspect right from the beginning. I don't know of ANY cameras or phones that title their images "Original" without so much as a sign of any sequence number.

But, as a dutiful fact-checker, I downloaded that image and ran it through some software to examine the "metadata", which in this image is known as "EXIF" data. Below is exactly what I found:

That image, despite it's name, is not an original. Furthermore, it has been altered in Photoshop 7.0. The date stamps shown in that metadata is not the original time and date - Photoshop re-stamps the time and date in an image when it is modified and saved through Photoshop.

The metadata present in the image shows that it was modified in Photoshop 7 ON 17 FEBRUARY of this year, at 4:43 in the afternoon - several months before it was alleged to have even been taken. Most likely, the time and date were incorrectly set on the computer on which the image was altered. There are "Harris-Walz" signs in it, and if that had already been planned back in February, it would be a much bigger story than a simple EXIF data and image alteration!

That is not original iPhone metadata. Photoshop has replaced all of the original EXIF data entirely with it's own metadata.

But even if it appeared to be original, metadata CAN lie. If I wanted to, I could even replace that PS data with my own, and "prove" a lie. I could, for example, change that data to show that it was taken in Istanbul, Turkey, on January 6, 1821. Not nineteen twenty one, or 2021, but EIGHTEEN twenty one. I could re-add the geotag data, which should be present in an iPhone photo, to reflect the location being anywhere on Earth.

You used to be able to trust the metadata, but no more. If I can change it all, then anyone can. Be that as it may, the EXIF data in THAT image shows that it has been altered in PS7. No one would do that on purpose if they were trying to prove a point of an unaltered image. The software just automatically did it when the image was altered.

The takeaway is that the IMAGE IS ALTERED, despite what the article claims.

The toxic truth about mouthwash

Research suggests that daily use could raise the risk of some cancers, though you may not need to
clear out your cupboards just yet

'More than a third of us use mouthwash, whether that’s just for an extra burst of minty freshness after
brushing our teeth or to tackle bleeding gums. However, rather than bettering the work of your toothbrush,
this habit may actually be putting your health at risk.

For more than a decade, studies have suggested that mouthwash may raise the risk of some cancers.
Now, fresh research has repeated this warning for users of one of the country’s favourite options. But
you may not need to clear out your bathroom cupboards quite yet.

Dangers of mouthwash?
In the latest study from researchers in Belgium, which was originally investigating the impact of daily
mouthwash on STI risk among 59 men, volunteers used Listerine Cool Mint daily for three months,
followed by three months using a placebo mouthwash, or vice versa.

Interestingly, results also showed that the Listerine mouthwash, which rids the mouths of some germs
behind bad breath and plaque, raised levels of two bacteria in the mouth (fusobacterium nucleatum and
streptococcus anginosus) too. Separate research has linked these species to esophageal and colorectal
cancer.

The theory is that the alcohol, antiseptics or flavourings found in mouthwash alter the microbiome and
trigger changes in the growth pattern of the cells, which could influence the likelihood of cancer developing,
explains Prof Karol Sikora, a renowned oncologist and honorary professor of professional practice at the
University of Buckingham.

Additionally, a chemical called acetaldehyde is produced in the mouth after using an alcohol-containing
mouthwash, notes Dr Zoe Brookes, an associate professor of dental education and research at the University
of Plymouth. It’s this chemical that’s thought to be potentially cancer-causing, she adds.

In response to their findings, the study authors urged people against using mouthwash.
It’s not the first time this worrying link has been reported. A 2009 paper from the then-chair of the Australian
Dental Association warned that mouthwashes that contain alcohol raise the risk of oral cancer. It referenced
a 2007 study which found that the fluorescent liquid was linked with a three-fold higher risk of developing
head and neck cancer.

However, none of this research proves that mouthwash causes cancer. And a 2023 review warned that
evidence linking mouthwash and cancer is “limited and conflicting”, as other studies have found no link
between mouthwash use and cancer.

Other studies have only flagged a cancer concern when that bacteria is found in the gut, she notes.
“But just because fusobacterium may cause colon cancer in the gut, it doesn’t mean that bacteria in
the mouth is going to cause oral cancer – it’s too far of a jump,” she says.

However, there are other risks. On top of the cancer concerns, some studies have linked frequent
mouthwash use with diabetes and high blood pressure, says Dr Mia Burleigh, a senior lecturer at the
University of the West of Scotland who researches the microbiome and oral health.

This is thought to be caused by mouthwash reducing the rate at which the mouth converts a compound
found in food called nitrate into nitric oxide because it clears the mouth of certain bacteria. “Healthy
sources of nitrate include vegetables and roots such as dark leafy greens and beetroot,” she explains.
“Without key bacteria in our oral microbiome, nitric oxide production is reduced, impairing glucose
metabolism, insulin sensitivity and cardiovascular control through the regulation of blood vessel dilation.”

What’s in mouthwash?
While ingredient lists vary dramatically between mouthwashes, there are five key components found in
most options on pharmacy and supermarket shelves, says Dr Tom Crawford-Clarke, a dentist and founder
of Luceo Dental in London. Fluoride is one of the most common. It protects the teeth against acids produced
by plaque, which helps prevent tooth decay.

Antibacterial agents are also included reduce the number of microorganisms in our mouths and balance
pH levels, which helps prevent tooth decay and tackles bad breath, he explains. Examples include
cetylpyridinium chloride, which prevents bad breath and plaque from maturing, as well as chlorhexidine
digluconate, found in Corsodyl, which brings down bacteria levels, helping to control the early signs of
gum disease.

Essential oils are also added to freshen breath, provide a “minty feeling” and reduce the build-up of plaque,
while sweeteners are mixed in for taste, Dr Crawford-Clarke notes. Alcohol is the ingredient that provides
the “zing” effect of mouthwash that stings a bit, helps to dissolve oils in the liquid and kills bacteria. It is
frequently found in concentrations of more than 20 per cent, which is around double that found in wine
and four times more than beer. This is one of the reasons why you should never drink it.

The exact blend of ingredients you get will depend on which mouthwash you pick up. The safest ways to
cleanse your mouth and teeth “If you’re worried about the research, just buy an alcohol-free mouthwash,”
says Prof Brookes. “Then you can avoid what some researchers are claiming – that the alcohol content is
raising the risk of cancer.”

Dr Burleigh recommends forgoing mouthwash, unless you have a specific problem to treat. “There is emerging
evidence that mouthwash is detrimental to other areas of health, so it is best avoided unless it has been prescribed
to treat a specific oral health issue,” she says. "Mouthwashes are not the answer to problems – unlike the adverts
would make you believe – and are not a replacement of correct oral hygiene habits, like toothbrushing and
interdental cleaning,” Dr Crawford-Clarke says...'

Sir Keir previously condemned this summer's unrest in the UK as "far-right thuggery".

In a speech in the Downing Street rose garden on Tuesday, the PM said the riots "revealed a deeply unhealthy society... weakened by a decade of division and decline, infected by a spiral of populism which fed off cycles of failure of the last government".

The disorder erupted following the spread of misinformation about the fatal stabbing of three young girls in Southport, with false speculation that the suspect was an asylum seeker who had arrived in the UK on a boat.

of my husband Huw Edwards, after what have been five extremely difficult days for our family.
I am doing this primarily out of concern for his mental well-being and to protect our children.

"Huw is suffering from serious mental health issues. As is well documented, he has been treated
for severe depression in recent years. "The events of the last few days have greatly worsened matters,
he has suffered another serious episode and is now receiving in-patient hospital care where he'll stay
for the foreseeable future."

'Disgraced BBC News presenter Huw Edwards has been given a six-month prison sentence,
suspended for two years, after he admitted charges of making indecent images of children.

The court heard that among a number of WhatsApp exchanges with a man later convicted of
sex offences, Edwards was offered “naughty” images of somebody described as "yng (sic)",
to which he replied "go on". He will be placed on the sex offenders' register for seven years.

In July, the former newsreader admitted having 41 images, which were sent to him on WhatsApp
– including some showing a victim aged between seven and nine. During his sentencing at
Westminster Magistrates’ Court he was also told to attend a sex offender treatment programme.
Edwards was sent images by a 25-year-old convicted sex offender called Alex Williams.

The court heard that in another exchange with Williams, Edwards replied "yes" followed by three
'X's when asked whether he wanted sexual images of a person whose "age could be discerned
as being between 14 and 16".

He responded to Williams with: "Amazing". The court heard he was also sent a link with more
images, then discussed buying Williams a Christmas present. Two months later, after yet another
exchange, Edward told Williams: "Don't send anything underage", however this was not the last
contact Edwards had with Williams.

The judge sentencing him remarked that the former broadcaster's "long-earned reputation" was
"in tatters". A BBC spokesperson said the corporation was "appalled" by Edwards' crimes.
"He has betrayed not just the BBC, but audiences who put their trust in him.”

Edwards pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children. Under the law,
images can mean photos or clips. The chief magistrate, District Judge Paul Goldspring, accepted
Edwards’ submission that he did not make or create the images in the conventional sense, and
instead met the legal definition of doing so by opening them on WhatsApp.

The court previously heard that Edwards sent hundreds of pounds to Williams after he sent him
pornographic images. While most of the images were of adult men, a significant proportion of
the images were of children. Of the 377 images, 41 were indecent images, which means they
were underage.

The court heard that the Category A images Edwards was in possession of were mostly children
aged 13-15. One child was aged between seven and nine. The offences were committed between
December 2020 and August 2021.

Williams first contacted Edwards in 2018 via Instagram, and has since been convicted and sentenced
for distribution and possession of indecent images of children – and it was during that investigation
that Edwards’ involvement was revealed, the court heard. Throughout the hearing, Edwards sat leaning
forward, his hands clasped in front of his mouth, elbows propped on his thighs.

Summing up the case, the judge said there was no evidence that Edwards did anything further with
the images he received from Williams. The court heard Edwards had not directly paid for the images,
but that there was a clear inference that Williams would request gifts and presents after sending them,
and that Edwards had sent money, described by the prosecution as amounting to around £1,000 to
