There are more stories from that war than days in a life time...this is but one story.. I had a friend shot down while resupplying Khe Sanh who spent 3 days in the mud while praying, shooting, and eating mud until he got a ride out of that hell hole; he lost his religion in that war.
Khe Sanh was before my time but the stories from that operation were still alive in 69/70 for those who wanted to listen.
When we did Cambodia there were no OH-6s left by the second week of the operation as they were all shot/crashed/destroyed... Hunter killer teams were then 2 or three Cobras.
