Biden Admin Warns Texas To Stop Blocking Migrants Entry

For those who don't know, the Texas National Guard took over an area where Border Patrol removed barriers, cut the wire and pretty much allowed a flood of migrants in. 

This blocking new Democrat voters will not not be tolerated. The Biden admin is threatening action / arrests for daring to enforce the actual laws of the nation.

DHS gave Texas until the end of the day on Wednesday to relent.

"If you have not confirmed by the end of day on January 17, 2024, that Texas will cease and desist its efforts to block Border Patrol's access in and around the Shelby Park area and remove all barriers to access to the U.S.-Mexico border, we will refer the matter to the Department of Justice for appropriate action and consider all other options available to restore Border Patrol's access to the border," Meyer wrote.

Texas has said its move to seize control of Shelby Park and ban federal agents from the area through armed soldiers, fencing and razor wire is designed to deter unlawful crossings by migrants. It's the latest flashpoint in a yearslong political and legal feud over U.S. border policy between Republican Gov. Greg Abbott and President Biden, a Democrat.

Over the past three years, Abbott has taken unprecedented and controversial steps in response to what he has deemed to be a lackluster effort by Mr. Biden to contain record levels of migrant crossings. Under his direction, Texas has bused tens of thousands of migrants to Democratic-led cities, arrested thousands of migrant adults on trespassing charges and fortified the Rio Grande with razor wire and floating barriers.

But Texas' effort to physically block federal agents from processing migrants in a public park that covers roughly 2.5 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border is arguably the state's most drastic action yet. 
In his letter on Sunday, Meyer noted the federal government is the one tasked with regulating immigration, including the inspection, processing and arrest of migrants who enter the U.S. without permission. Texas' seizure of Shelby Park is obstructing federal officials from carrying out these obligations, he said. 
"State law cannot be applied to restrain federal agents from carrying out these federally authorized activities," Meyer added.
Meyer also noted that some of the areas Texas had commandeered sit on federal land. He said a 2015 agreement between the city of Eagle Pass, which oversees Shelby Park, and Border Patrol guarantees federal officials access to the park's gates. Some of the barriers used by Texas to seal off the park are owned by the federal government, Meyer added.
Last week, the Justice Department alerted the Supreme Court of Texas' actions in Eagle Pass as part of a case over a lower court ruling that barred Border Patrol from removing the razor wire the state has placed along some sections of the U.S. southern border. The Justice Department is asking the high court to suspend that ruling, saying it prevents Border Patrol from processing and rescuing migrants already on U.S. soil.

I have to say that I stand with Texas on this matter. if the Federal government refuses to do it's job, then someone else has to... and the Feds have no business bitching about anyone "preventing them from doing their job" when they have consistently refused to do their job to begin with.

Abbott DGAF what Biden and his crooked DOJ think. Texas absolutely cannot handle anymore immigrants. Everybody gets pissed about Abbott shipping them to Sanctuary Cities but if he didn't they would likely die. There isn't enough housing, jobs or infrastructure to take them all in- which the Biden admin. knows. Biden hopes to destroy the border states and force then to toe the federal line but it wont happen without a fight.

States Rights are only important to a free people. Leftists believe in an overly strong central government to issue orders to them, and extremely weak peripheral governments who are only there to enforce the edicts of the Central Government. They believe that power flows from the elites down, rather from the People up.

Leftists believe that the US should be run on a plantation economy, with Massa living in the big white house on the hill, telling the rest of us what to do and how to do it, while we toil away to make Massa rich, and gin nothing for ourselves.

They believe it's their world, and we are just here for them. Massa's only job is to dole out just enough money for us to stay alive and produce for him - things like "basic incomes" and "the welfare state". In exchange for this pittance, we are to keep producing for the State, enriching Massa and his Overseers - whether that enrichment is financial or just power... which often leads to financial gain as well, especially if you have a savvy son who can extract tribute from foreign lands based upon your alleged "power".

This is the way of all Communists, Socialists, and anyone else you may find on the political Left.

Oh, the Left will TELL you that they are there to free people, return power to the masses and usher in a new Utopia of freedom and prosperity for all, but that's all just advertisement to gain supporters. It's just propaganda, smoke and mirrors. It has never actually worked tht way in the real world, NEVER, not in any implementation of Leftism that has ever gripped a people, anywhere on Earth.

Ever.

"Freedom" is having NO ONE to tell you what to do. It is not in having a Central Planning Committee a thousand miles away to plan your every move, your every waking moment, and punish you if you fail to meet the Centralized State's expectations.
