I have a sneaking suspicion that significant parts of the story are being left out of the reporting, either through MSM complicity or the fact that they are gaining almost all of their "information" from a single side of the tussle.
I also have to wonder - why is the stepmom the only one speaking? Why is she being the mouthpiece? Where is the biological father's voice at? Why is he allowing her to rule the home if they claim to be "Christian"?
Why did they let the girl dye her hair purple? One of the photos confirms they did allow that. Did they not know what generally follows that?
Since when does CFS farm out it's own responsibilities to other states, and other countries? How is it they "extend" their jurisdiction to other jurisdictions? When I was a teenager, I was arrested and extradited FROM another state, but I've never heard of a kid being sent TO another state.
What is, as Paul Harvey used to say, "the rest of the story"?
Sorry, but this just seems... manufactured for resale... to me.
ETA: "Our rights as her parents have been trampled on." Step parents do not have parental rights. They stand "in loco parentis" (like teaxhers), but they do not have parental rights unless they have formally adopted the child, in which case the birth mother would not have the parental rights she is apparently being accorded.
I know this because I've been a step-dad to a few dozen kids.
