of Burmese and Afghan journalists and giving them technological skills and a media platform to report on their
homelands once again.

Satellite cameras, Google Earth and a population with phones make it hard for despots to operate unseen, even
in remote lands. Under CIR’s programmes, journalists are trained in the geolocation (place) and chronolocation
(time) of video material recorded by civilian witnesses on phones...'
