The future? People care more about their devices than their own families these days- everybody has their eyes glued to their screens instead of paying attention to their loved ones, especially their children. Now some of these children who have been ignored for technology their entire lives are becoming adults and will have no problems with robots and AI taking over everything because they've been raised by computers, video game systems and cell phones anyway.
As an American it's your responsibility to have your own strategic duck stockpile. You can't expect the government to do it for you.
