It's sad that people have lowered the use of iodine just because evil big brother claim you don't need it much, which is a big fat lie.
Am aware of some RDAs being far lower than are helpful
I would also get selenium
I saw that and ordered some at the same time.
I put this linke here as it has basic infromation about iodine Companion Nutrients . Selenium is the most important...cant really go with iodine if dont have also selenium . Some reports of side effects from iodine supplements are actually from the error of not taking selenium with it , but iodine get the blame anyway .
Companion Nutrients: The Key to Success on the Iodine Protocol
One of the expert doctors in iodine David Brownstein talking about iodine . He mentions so called salt flushing method , it means that when taking like 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt daily the chloride will start helping flushing bromine out , boh are halogens , and bromine toxicity is not uncommon now days . Brownstein mentions some of he`s clients start doing that like 2 weeks before starting iodine . But for me i started it after was allready taking iodine and since iodine will mobilize both fluoride and bromine it can feel really bad....those 2 are toxic elements . Salt loading works quite fast if bromine will start go up.
