Quote:Americans for Prosperity said part of the strategy will also look at bringing more general election voters into the GOP primary process to alter the outcome of early contests. Polling from third-party organizations shows that if Trump were not the GOP candidate on the ticket, many Republican or conservative voters would not show up to vote.
I don't vote in GOP primaries any more. In VA, the GOP has been stacking the deck in favor of neocons instead of Republicans, and then making everyone voting in the primary sign a pledge that they will support whomever the GOP selects come hell or high water as a condition of voting. I'm not going to sign a lie, so I don't vote in the primaries. If they nominate a neocon, I'll just go ahead and vote for the Democrat, because I consider that one to be more honest - at least they are TELLING you they are a Democrat instead of trying to sneak Dem policies in under the radar by falsely claiming to be a Republican.
Case in point - the current Speaker of the House in the VA government claims to be a Republican, yet he scuttled a vote on putting Second Amendment Rights back to their original position and intent. That ain't your father's kind of Republican! If it hadn't been for his lying, anti-freedom ass, we'd have repealed the unconstitutional "Red Flag" law in VA, and instituted Constitutional carry. both on the same bill. That lyin' bastard scuttled it, because it had the votes to carry. I mean, that was the whole reason we gave the government back to the Republicans - the Democrats were snatching too much freedom away from us, and ignoring law and constitutions and whatnot.
I don't think "RINO" adequately describes today's neocons trying to pass themselves off as Republicans - wolves in sheep clothing is more accurate.
It's why I'm going Libertarian - fuck those R and D bastards if they aren't willing to do the jobs we hire them for and look out for their constituency.
