The simulation Theory

So many people assume the simulator is an alien or our ancestors. What if it is not that at all? What if we are not NPC, but AI and this is a neural network training system?

It's a scary thought either way!  My failing is I cannot remove my natural assumption that I exist and
due to this, cannot fully embrace a theory where all my thoughts, desires, actions and endeavours are
just logical routes of a algorithm created for unknown reasons.

I suspect the theory of a AI universe spawned with the improvements in the computer industry and with
major religions not be a preferable flavour, many humans felt they could acquire some confidence in the
idea that an objective system might be the power that controls our lives and not some white-bearded guy
in a gown.
