Looks like the war with Iran is cooking off

Mahdi’s eventual emergence is viewed as a divine act rather than a human-engineered political movement.

And they think their actions with war will usher it in.   
Just like the evangelical Christians think that a massive war in the Middle East will usher in the 2nd coming of Christ.
So a lot of them push for one to move prophecy along.
Irans leadership is doing the same thing with their fake Mahdi.

They would not be negotioning with anyone if the goal would be  rush to WW3 / armageddon . They would also build nuclear bombs years ago, and then fire them to Israel and then just wait the Mahdi’s eventual emergence .
