Deny Ignorance is shutting down

I wonder if the owner found out about the other site ?

He knows about it now.
All moderators except one are fired and/or banned.
At least one regular member got banned as well.
So there is no moderator-ing going on at DenyIgnorance.

That's not good.

It's how Rogue-Nation was born.

A site called "Hernando's Hideaway" once banned ALL of it's mods other than the site owner himself. We all tried to log in one morning, and found out we were all banned. So, we just up and ran off, and started RN because we ain't gonna ban ourselves from here!

HH then died a slow, agonizing death, starting almost immediately. It's still in existence, but rarely ever gets a post now. It's just another dead Black-Hole in the internet.

Never a good idea to fire all of your moderators. Some of them will definitely take that shit personally.

He only completely banned three of us.  All the rest, except Andy, were demoted.  Probably will have to toe the line or be banned, I haven't tried to find out.

DI only has one moderator now.
Also, members were banned at the same time.

Why did they do that?

It was done without warning or explanation.
But I suppose starting a new site is reason enough for some.
