ICMYI: Chinese Premier LiQiang has signed a decree of the State Council to publish a new set of rules on countering foreign states' unlawful extraterritorialjurisdiction measures. According to the rules, such extraterritorial jurisdiction measures refer to actions taken by a foreign country that violate international law and the basic norms governing international relations and that harm China's sovereignty, security and development interests, or the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and organizations. The rules stipulate that the Chinese government has the authority to take countermeasures in response to such actions and to exercise extraterritorial jurisdiction over relevant conduct if a sufficient nexus exists.

Is this marching to war with China

Cool! maybe China will put some of those super-duper high tech infallible Chinese radars on their boats! And they can back that up with some of those super-duper infallible Chinese missiles, maybe deliver by their super-duper high-tech advanced and super duper long range "next generation" fighter jets that can't seem to stay in the air for more than about an hour!

They can send 'em in on those super-duper high tech carriers they've got... if they can keep them out of the repair drydock long enough.

And they can send in the best of their super duper exploding soldiers.

I'm assuming you're referring to an overt war rather than the covert war that's already been on for years now.

China talks a tall game, but they're a little short on workable war equipment.

But they do have a lot of people - maybe they can send in enough human hand grenade, exploding soldiers, to at least break even.

I hope that is the case Ninurta , most likely it is .  
The collateral damage in near the hormuz / Bab al-Mandab Strait / Suez canal between USA and Chinese would be nasty to many around World , countries than has not taken any sides.

I drive petrol car    at least so long there is petrol available .
