"Hand-made" CGI using Blender is a bit of an Oxymoron. It would be Models and Sets and things worked on "by hand". Button pushing is not "man-made".
When the documentary starts with announcing that, I knew it was going to be the usual clickbait scenario offering nothing really new but refined images. It was interesting to learn that John Lear was one of the witnesses to the flying craft at S4.
