On March 10, 2026, USS Nimitz departed Naval Base Kitsap, Bremerton, Washington to prepare for her decommissioning at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia. She is sailing from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean via Cape Horn at the tip of South America, after which she will begin heading toward Norfolk. This journey is expected to take about two to three weeks to complete. During her final voyage, she will also take part in the upcoming Southern Seas 2026 exercises.

Today, according to a report from Breaking Defense, the U.S. Navy has officially delayed the decommissioning of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) until at least March of 2027 to maintain a fleet size of 11 active carriers. Its replacement will be the USS John F. Kennedy (CVN-79), which is scheduled to be delivered to the Navy in March 2027. Sorry boys, we've been ordered to divert to the Middle East. Probably not, but you never know.

One of the biggest advantages of an FPV drone is that you can wander around until you find something to hit, and you then generated a piece of intelligence that can be analyzed later to select more targets. Since the Iranians posted this vid public, I guess they're showing off on what they're capable of doing. This war is going to turn into Drone warfare like in the Ukraine, except Iran has the entire Middle East to bomb. Lots & lots of easy targets.
U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq issues another security notice: "U.S. citizens should leave Iraq immediately. U.S. citizens who choose to remain in Iraq are encouraged to reconsider their decision given the significant threat posed by Iran-aligned terrorist militias."

You've seen the meme: the infamous "Vibe Check" photo of a U.S. Marine dropping an M67 frag grenade down a dark stairwell. But what actually happened next?
