They'll probably kick our ass again a few more times before it's over. I think they must still bear a little animosity over the War of 1812, and they're just taking it out on us slowly.
It's the politeness and apologies that really get me - how are we supposed to develop a sense of having a well-kicked ass with that sort of thing going on?
