Yeah, that always makes me laugh. It's on different discussion forums and on left wing 'news' (propaganda) sites. It's a marker that advertises the person is politically left wing and anti-American. They can't actually speak to what makes it 'illegal', since the world isn't run by a single legal system. It's their buzz word that they probably picked up in left wing BlueSky from other indoctrinated people there.
