Everything this dumb arsed PM does turns out to be wrong to one degree or another , their must come a point where even he realises this is more than just a flesh wound and it's time for him to withdraw.

I'm guessing the strategy they had in mind probably involved using connections to Epstein to forge stronger bonds between the British Left and the US Deep State.
If that truly was the strategy, then it appears it blew up spectacularly in their faces.
