We stood against an expansionist European dictator last time mate I guess it's in our blood , I see little difference between what we did then by standing up to Hitler and what we are doing now by helping Ukraine in their struggle , if Putin is allowed to win in Ukraine he won't stop there.
A new policy has been put forward by Rupert Lowe.
Quote:Restore Britain has a very simple policy to clean up the increasing piles of filth that are strewn across the British countryside.
A healthy Brit on benefits would have a short period of time to find work in their chosen field. If they fail, they will be made to work for their benefits.
There are millions of healthy Brits who are physically capable of picking up litter and rubbish.
So that's exactly what Restore Britain would have them doing.
If they refuse? They will lose their benefits. It is that simple. Work, or go hungry.
I am sick and tired of seeing our countryside used as a dumping ground. It increasingly resembles the third world - it is that bad. I honestly detest it so much.
This is our country. It is our home. It is not a bin.
Restore Britain would use every tool available to clean up our home.
And, yes, that would include prosecution for fly-tippers - prison time. Deportation for any foreigners involved.
I want a Britain that isn't plastered in energy drink cans, crisp packets, discarded vapes or whatever else.
What an awful example we are setting for children, for them to see this crap and think it's acceptable. It is NOT.
If you want to clean up our countryside, vote Restore Britain.

If you take money from the State then you should work for the State , litter is becoming a problem I think this is a common sense idea that will help clean up our streets and roadside verges and offer the unemployed an opportunity experience work and exercise and perhaps help them on their journey back to work.
Although I have no idea what a "fly-tipper" is, I agree in the main with the sentiments. If someone is taking unemployment benefits, then the State should get some benefit back for their payout if the recipient is of sound enough body to work. Over here, we differentiate between those of sound body but just out of work and those who are disabled. One gets unemployment pay, the other gets disability benefits. Unemployment pay, at least in this state, is limited to 6 months. If you've not found work in that six months, then you're entirely on your own thereafter.
In the matter of the Ukraine, we just seem to have a fundamental difference in perspective. From the British point of view, it seems there is a belief that Russia is being expansionist in the war, whereas from my point of view, it's a Russian internal matter, a civil war in which they are trying to reclaim a breakaway state. All my life, until recently, the Ukraine was just another Russian state. It broke away during the turmoil of the collapse, and now Russia wants it back. From my viewpoint, it would be the same thing as Texas, for instance, breaking away from the US, and the federal government going in to retake it and rejoin it to the US.
We had that fight here, too, about 160 years ago. In a spoiler alert, the breakaway states were forced back into the Union at gunpoint. That could, I suppose, be viewed as "expansionist" too, since the USA invaded and annexed an entire foreign nation (the CSA) in the war.
Just a difference of perspective, and as I said before, everyone has to choose their own battles that they are willing to involve themselves in.
